Great for kids and dogs!
We bought this wall to banister gate because our one year old loves to climb the stairs. This is the perfect barrier to prevent him from doing so! It looks absolutely fantastic and matches our decor. It is a pricey product, but worth every penny of the peace of mind that it brings. The way our banister/wall area is, we can get the top two straps very tight and sturdy, but the lowest is loose. Despite this, we have zero issues with our very active 15 month old trying to get through. It is also sturdy enough for me to quick hop over to run up stairs to grab something without having to undue it.This isn't going to be child proof forever, but long enough until my son can safely climb and descend the stairs safely on his own. He is obsessed with buckles, and likes to try to buckle them, but it will be quite a while until he can undo the buckles.Not only does it keep our son away from harm, it also works great to keep the dog downstairs so he doesn't get into any trashcans!Very happy with this product! Good solution when nothing else works!
This worked great for our awkward stairway. It was pretty easy to install, does the job of keeping the baby off the stairs and looks pretty good. The only drawback is that it's not easy to open/close with three buckles to adjust then fasten.

Great priduct, but couple things to keep in mind
This is great, I love the product. It mounts easily just be sure you look at what you are mounting to. We have wall molding that limited the placement. we ended up angling because my husband did not want to cut the molding. It works fine, but would look better if we cut the molding. Also the mounting brackets are black. Wish there was a white option. We are going to try painting it so it blends better.

Less than quality construction
After only one day of use the gate already has seams ripping at the buckles/straps that secure it. I can’t keep it pulled tight. It’s bulky and a nuisance when it’s not in use.I’m really regretting this purchase especially with the high cost.

Plastic Anchors for Drywall Installation is Sub Par
The plastic for attaching to drywall is low grade. Tried twice and it broke each time, leaving a rather large hole. I switched to higher quality drywall anchors I already had, which was challenging given the odd shaped hole left from the original anchors. This doubled the install time. I also needed more spacers. A lot of products are cheaping out when it comes to the hardware for install. At the price I paid, I expected a lot more. One star.
