While the box looked new, the filter looked used - completely scratched up on all edges - no way to tell if it was in working order or not.

Fits my Sub-Zero and seems to be doing it's job
This filter appears to have been a solid purchase. The price was great and it fits my Sub-Zero refrigerator and I haven't noticed any diminished performance in terms of air filtration/odors.

It's not compatible!
I ordered this a while ago and treated it as a sunk cost. It does not work with this model refrigerator (BI-36R/S/PH) and does not replace Subzero Air Purification Cartridge Item number: 7042798.
