I can't remember which mine was, but it was the old one, as the current one was marked "New Version". I can't attest to how well the New Version works, but I saw some mixed reviews, just wanted to point that out. So I chose the older version. I measured mine against a known 90 degree square I use for table saw alignment, and it was dead on. I then compared these against each other, inside against outside, for both, and they were also good to go. Well within what's required for woodworking. If you need more precision than that, spend the big dollars and get Starrett tools ...Purchased some inexpensive Irwin 4 in. clamps to use with them.
