Compared to competitors works well.
I've been looking for a filter for fluoride to use in my gravity, fed system. This filter works well as testing has shown. I am using it as a replacement for the ceramic filter designed for my unit. The only modification I needed to make was to cut the threaded part about an eighth of an inch because it was hitting my standard filter when attached my tapwater is loaded with chlorine and fluoride and you can taste it for sure. This filter clearly makes a difference in the smell and flavor of my water. My recommendation to others is to send your water off to have it tested both from your tap (City Water) and from you Water Filter. Do your homework there's only a few in the United States that are worth using to test. Depending on how much you're looking for some can be quite costly to have done but definitely give you a peace of mind in the water that you're putting in your body.

Great water filter
I buy these filters for a couple of years now and I’m very satisfied. You need to run the filter a few times before really using it but after it works perfectly. Water tastes funky at the beginning but after 5 runs water tastes great. Will continue buying.

Doesnt work at all.
The filter came quickly but after following the directions we have noticed no noticeable difference in water quality or taste. Fortunately our water source is potable because this filter is absolutely not what it claims to be.

These Filter Fluoride
I have ordered these filters for myself, my children and grandchildren. I have a Fluoride ion tester and these filters remove all but 0.01ppm Fluoride which is what reverse osmosis also removes. The only way to get the F 100% out is by distillation. Be aware that if something removes Fluoride (the hardest ion to remove), it will get out the chlorine. lead and arsenic. Test for Fluoride and you test for clean water.

For those with generic water filters, this will work.
I have a ceramic gravity feed water "cooler" in my kitchen. It's pretty, got it from Good Living at least 8 years ago. I just want to say for anyone looking for a replacement filter for this kind of water filter, this one will work. The washer is smaller than the original filter had but works. The stem is a bit shorter but works. Very happy, the original finally broke after alot of scrubbing. I got the 7". The 9" would have been too tall and the 5" too short. Diameter is almost exactly the same-about 3 ". Worth the money.

Excellant for my home brew water purifier! Updated!
Tried 2 to start and been using for about 2 months. Mounting through stainless sheet metal. Seals fine, adding 2 more.Update 5-21-20:Have had no issues running 4 filters. Water is fine with no bad after taste or smells. Went with 4 for a faster process time. Average usage is 3-4 gallons a week, soon to be more. Am not discounting others bad experiance, is it the water source they are on? Am using it on well water.
