It's made for kids
This is exactly what I buy in Germany, Schogetten are a little sweeter than some brands and kids love it, adults usually have a square with coffee, not the entire box. They have an extra creaminess not found in American chocolates. The packaging was great, the chocolates arrived in perfect shape, and they were fresh.

maybe they tasted good before they turned white
Was not old , but all had fat and or sugar bloom , making it turn white , harmless, usual cause is exposure to very humid air or getting wet somehow , fast temperature change that causes condensation on the surface , then chemical change , turning white. They were below average, maybe they tasted good before they turned white. I don't think they were ever above average. Kinda waxy. Maybe in the future they will insulate , to prevent. Too bad for me.
