Favorite licorice
Best black licorice I’ve ever gotten!! It can be a little pricey, but it really is worth it. I order a bunch of other brands and kinds, and this came out to be #1. It seems the most real and almost kind of juicy. I had mine in a sealed container, and it left behind a kind of slime that made it seem very fresh. Soft and chewy.

DO NOT BUY - NOT DARRELL - ALL WET AND NASTY
I have ordered Darrell licorice several times, and the real thing is a great tasting licorice. This is NOT the same product. This bag is all sticky and a mess. Even worse is that it is NOT returnable. This is a complete fraud.

Best I've had
I'm 81 and I've been eating likorise before I could spell it. A few negative reviews, but the stuff is candy, not caviar or lobster. It is candy, and good candy. I bought two pounds of it so far and ate almost the whole thing when I got it. This stuff is good, chewy, tasty licorice. For $12 a lb., what's not to like?

Slimy
I know the DATE on the REPACK bag says 2021 as a best by date but I've been eating these for YEARS.. and I KNOW when it's past it date.. if it's slimy then it's not safe to eat.. given what it's made out of.. I don't know WHO repackaged those three individual packages into a single sale item with a NEW date on them but they LIED.. it's not the same taste, texture or substance.. it truly IS slimy and unpalatable.. Each package has leaked so much of it's content into the bags that it's quit evident how OLD this product is.. 2021.. LOL.. SHAME on you for selling this with that date on it!!

Was a bargain
The licorice is soft and addictive, in a good way. Now you get half of the original two pounds. For a higher price. It gets very sticky as time goes by. Love it, but I no longer buy it, due to higher price for half the amount.

Horrible (couldn’t give no stars)
The taste was bad and it was all mushy. I would not waste money on it seeing as how they won’t replace it or refund it.Before this I had ordered a bag from Whole Foods which was a different kind and they refunded me that because it came all stuck together and very hard. Couldn’t even tear it apart. It was too hard to eat anyhow.
