Installed on a Grand Design Imagine travel trailer. Fit the Lippert factory door cutout perfectly. Matches the paint scheme of the rig and operates flawlessly. I love that it's all metal, it is really quite heavy by itself which is a good thing. The 2 remotes it comes with work perfectly as does the lighted keypad. This lock unit has a couple additional benefits not included with other lock units I saw: an extra keypad overlay is included for when (if) the day comes that the original keypad buttons wear out so I can simply peel off the back of the new pad and stick it right over the old one. Another advantage to this lock is the inside half has levers to lock both the outside handle and the deadbolt, a nice security feature. Comes with 2 keys and 2 remotes so lots of convenient ways to utilize this lock. Install was easy with the exception of aligning the 2 inside levers to match the shafts of the outside half while trying to install screws to hold it all together. Maybe a little tape on the levers would have helped but I managed with a little patience, (ok, a LOT of patience). But the final result was more than worth it, and I highly recommend this replacement lock. Now I need to find replacement keyless locks for my slam latch storage doors and I'll never need a key again!UPDATE: So, I still love this lock and feel it's worth it's price but I have to agree with others when they complain about the short inside handle. Not only is there VERY limited grab space but it's actually a little sharp and hurts the inside of the fingers. I have NO idea why the manufacturer made the handle like this, a few more cents worth of metal on the inside would have made this lock perfect!

The RV lock is solid in construction vs. the default lock that came with the Montana 3123RL. It easily installed in 10 minutes and felt more secure in opening and closing the door. All its features including the manual keys, FOB and keypad worked as described by CARMTEK. The Customer Service provided by CARMTEK was extremely responsive and provided additional support material. This is a great alternative that is more secure vs. the locks that are provided by RV manufacturers. It has two locks. One lock is widely and readily used by many RV manufacturers and service dealers for easy access. The second and separate lock is keyed differently vs. the master key lock and is unique to the door lock. Great product!

My original lock was bought in 2022, and we had problems with it. Within the first year the membrane faded, and the numbers peeled. The locking mechanism was very weak. There were times when we were locked out of the camper, and the remote worked sometime. I called and worked with Alex, we did some trouble shooting and still the same results. I simply asked to have the membrane replaced. Not only did I get a new membrane, but a new lock and they overnighted the lock so it arrived in time for our next trip. And it works great. Confidence restored with the lock. The level of customer service is almost unheard of these days. Well done

I installed the 10-digit lock on my new Jayco Eagle HT. Installation and setup was easy and it fit the door perfectly.The key pad and fob operates only the deadbolt portion of the lock. The mechanical key is required to lock the door latch. I didn’t realize that until I installed it. So, if you’re just stepping out for a few minutes and don’t need to fully lock your RV, use the electronic lock. If you’re leaving for the day and want to fully secure the door, you still need the key.The new lock protrudes a bit further out from the face of the door. Maybe 1/4 inch. The folding handrail on the Eagle HT folds flat over the door for transport and lays flat over the original lock. The new lock interferes with the folded handrail just enough to prevent it from folding flat and locking into place. I’ll have to find a solution for that now by either bending the rail or adding spacers to the handrail mount to get it to fold over or around the new lock.

We have bought this lock twice now. We put it on our old camper and now on our new one. It’s a great lock and easy to install.

This lock install was fast and easy. It looks good, it works good. It's very solid and well built. And I feel like it adds an extra level of security because it's keyless. Just what I was looking for.

Update: after posting this review the owner of the company reached out to us and sent us a new lock. Unfortunately at the time we were not able to install it because a UPS truck had hit our RV and it had been in the shop. We were able to reinstall the new lock and it works great. We just didn’t use the batteries that were supplied with the lock. Thank you for reaching out and supplying of with a new lock.We bought this product on January 8,2024 and it is already not working. We went to change the batteries because it stopped working and when we did the wires are corroded and broken. It says we can only return it until February 7,2024. Now we are out $192.00.

First off, I rarely do reviews. Bought two of these for my Grand Design Momentum at $219 a pop. Installation pretty straight fwd. Issues out of the gate with the remotes could not get them to sync up so you could you one remote for both doors. A few e-mails with customer service the requested a video. I never sent one it’s a straight fwd process. A few weeks later one of the locks you can barely get the key in the tumbler and the other one is completely dead(not batteries). E-mailed customer service again. While on a trip had to remove it and disassemble the lock assy to do checks for them clean the board with electrical cleaner. No help. Flip flopped the battery half with the other lock assy and no help with that either. And the dead lock battery assy works fine in the other lock assy. E-mailed customer service on the 4th of July and they did reply on the 4th of July. They have replied pretty quick each time. Today parts arrived that apparently was on the slow boat from China and now I need to disassemble both locks again. One to replace the digital board and the other to replace the tumbler. Purchased both mid to late April. Used the camper 3 times and to have these issues is ridiculous for the product price point. They should have sent complete assy’s and swapped them out. Would not recommend.

Arrived quickly easy to installed on my easy hauler cargo trailer work great so far

I bought this and at first I thought it was not too bad but after a bit that changed. When you lock both locks it does work but…. If you pull hard on the handle lock well it just opens even though it’s locked. Also the keys are complete junk. Came with three and yesterday I just broke the last one and now unable to get support. So I suggest look elsewhere for another product.

I purchased this particular electronic lock because it was recommended on a grand design forum for my particular fifth wheel. It was more expensive than some of the other ones that I found but because it had two separate locks, and it was recommended on the forum I decided to purchase it. It installed fairly easily, but now that I have it installed, I realized only the deadbolt is electronic, the lock for the handle is still manual. You still have to use a key which kind of defeats the purpose. If you’re one of those people that only lock the deadbolt there’s no problem but if you lock both, you might want to know that before purchasing it.
