Perfect for the price!
This is a good controller for the price. I just wanted something to replace an old worn out xbox 360 controller for my PC. This is a controller that will live in the living room, get knocked around by pets and potentially get stuff spilled on it. I wanted something that was not expensive and would work, and for that purpose this controller is great. Better than a lot of other non first party controllers and it is wireless. The controller is almost an exact copy of the 360 controller shape. The plastic feels a little hollow but has a good weight in the hands. The joysticks are responsive and the face buttons click satisfyingly. I have been using it to play mass effect and I have had no issues in my 10 ish hours of playing. Controller has already survived a 2 foot drop onto a wood floor while it was charging and survived like a champ. If you need a controller for kids or for something you are going to throw into a bag this is a great option.

A solid, all around wireless controller with no downsides.
Bought this with a spare Amazon gift card and MSI know how to make solid peripherals. This blows the old Razer Serval that I bought off of Amazon years ago out of the water. It looks like a massively improved Xbox controller with none of the downsides. The extra USB-A to micro-USB cable doesn't just charge the controller, I can still use it wired on my PC, my Android retro handheld, or my Switch. The controller is also lighter than I expected given the solid build, another plus. The wireless dongle works great, even with my router broadcasting on the 5GHz and 2.4GHz band, there's no interference. Even being feet away from the microwave doesn't kill the RF connection. I may buy another one just to have a set of reliable and solid controllers after years of looking for a decent universal controller.

A solid controller, but only with the luck of the draw.
This controller is quite a gamble. I have seen people use ones where the joysticks and D-Pad are perfect, the best pros. Others where the D-Pad can only move four directions no matter how hard you press on the diagonals. Another where the joysticks have Cardinal Snapping. And the worst offender being both of the cons together. I am part of the third group, where the D-Pad is really good with moving all directions with ease. It is my go-to for 2D overhead titles and arguably on par with the Saturn 2D par and 6-button Mega Drive controller. But for the joysticks, I could not be any more unhappy. They have obvious Cardinal Snapping which makes it difficult to aim in FPS games and move around diagonally. I have only used the controller in top form because a friend let me use theirs for a minute. It was very nice and was hoping mine had the same joysticks and D-Pad. But unfortunately, that luck has been weak. The first time I ever got it, the joysticks and D-Pad were bad. Then the second time, only the joysticks. I might try one more time to see if I get both good joysticks and D-Pad, but I won't hold my breath. Other than that, everything else is fine. Buttons are great, analog triggers feel nice and firm and the grip is very comfortable. Only minor criticism is it going with Micro USB Instead of USB-C for the cable port, but that is not a huge problem. Battery life is also very solid, for sure lasting on even the longest of marathons. Despite my complaints, I heavily recommend this controller.

Short term use? Awesome. But don't depend on it for longer than a year.
Used it on and off for a year, I'm not much into controller games. But it was very nice to use, however it requires it's special charger, not USB-C, and I always kept it charged until about 3 weeks ago I didn't plug it in due to being on an extended vacation. I returned, plugged it in to charge, and nothing. Absolutely dead. PC won't even recognize it. I've had Xbox-360 controllers that cost $15 at Walmart last longer than this. Especially since I'm always careful with my accessories.

Happy and doesn't make the wallet cry.
My ancient Xbox wired controller for my PC finally bit the dust and the sticker shock of modern wireless controllers left me more than slightly annoyed. MSI saves the day. Works fine, looks good, doesn't break the bank. Only negative is LB and RB are a little too hard "clicky" compared to others.

The d pad will surprise you.
First off the bad. The analog sticks are very slippery to the touch, to the point where I thought there was some sort of oil on them. I am thinking with playing it for a while that will become less of an issue. For the so so, the triggers are a little stiff and the controller itself is a bit on the small side. Very basic controller in terms of feel and features. But dear lord, that d pad is phenomenal! Both options that come in the box are among the best I have ever used. I am talking Saturn level of good. I use Cuphead as a litmus test for these things, and I swear it felt like I was just gliding effortlessly through combat. So if you want something basic but has really good movement, I cannot recommend enough.

works great, only one complaint
Love the MSI controller, best one I've used so far. PROs: It works right out of the box. no setup or fighting with any hidden settings or connections to get it to work. It stays connected during use It even has a power save mode that will shut it off after not being used for a while which made me panic the first time as my last controller was a nightmare to get reconnected. The USB dongle that it comes with makes it so much easier to use and reconnecting is an absolute dream. Just push the center dragon logo button and boom, it wakes up and instantly reconnects. CONs: This one is very minor, sometimes one of the buttons makes a slight squeak sound from my finger sliding across the super smooth button surface. Seriously that is my only complaint so far. I've used it for Phasmophobia, Mortal Kombat 11, Hollow Cocoon, over the past week or so since I got it and it is fantastic. It is so nice to have a wireless controller that actually connects and has a decent range (I've not found a limit to it yet, I can play at a comfortable relaxed distance from my desk. Final thoughts, I love it, and highly recommend this MSI controller. I think some complaints were about needing the USB dongle and needing to carry two things with you if you bring it somewhere with you, but honestly having it makes this such a better controller to use. A serious improvement to quality of life in my opinion.

Good controller
6 month update: After 6 months of pretty good usage the right stick has started to malfunction, sometimes causing the controller to be stuck in a position. However this is easily solved by pulling the stock out and pushing it back in. So in terms of quality I would say it's pretty decent as apart from the stick issue, I have dropped the controller at least a dozen or more times on a hardwood floor and not a single piece of it broke off. Good controller, well built and connects seamlessly to my PC. I tried it on two games, Gear Tactics and StarWars Survivor and it worked well on both. Vibration function is the same as console controllers and synced to in-game action. There is a changeable magnetic button which is easy to pull out and change. Love the controller and would recommend it!

Worst controller ever
Massive lag can't really move without ruining gameplay. Squeaks. Stopped working after a few days. Msi was good quality. What happened?
