H2o Monoflex Kayak & Canoe Deck Bungee Kit

First thing you should do is throw out all the cheap Chinese hardware and go buy new stainless bolts and nuts. This way you won't have two out of the first three nuts getting locked up on the threads like I did, and then you'll have to cut them off to fix it.I'd like to preface this by stating that I build metal milling machinery for a living. I know hardware and how to assemble very expensive components.It took me an hour to assemble this which included a trip to the hardware store for new hardware.The hooks and bungee are good and the new stainless steel hardware is going to run you about $12, so I'd steer away from this kit unless you like a challenge.

It is what it is I should have gotten a second set right away... added a x in the front of my kayak and didn’t have enough pieces to do the back correctly... wish it came with 4 hooks instead of two

Needed to add hold-down gear to our two kayaks. This system mounted to the deck and art/cord quality is top notch for our. This kit had everything we needed to make our kayaks more useful. What a great value!

Actually I didn’t use it for a kayak, instead used it to install a storage area in the back of my SUV in the recess parallel to the back left glass panel in the trunk space. Hardware is very durable. Recommended for kayakers or DIYers.

What we needed to add to our 10ft kayak

The kit was just enough to do my front end of my kayak. Since I had a small Pelican, I had excess bungee cord. It was wider in diameter than I expected since it was wider than the original bungee, but should hold up better. The hooks would not stay on the end of the bungee cord without pressure so I tied them instead.

Really easy to install, and was a fun project!

The cord, cord hoops and cord ends were of good quality. The screws however were very cheap, soft screws and unusable.I had to cut 2 off with a hacksaw as the head cross was so soft it was destroyedDO NOT USE THE SCREWS THAT COME WITH IT BUY DECENT QUALITY ONES
