On my 2007 Chevy Suburban, 5.3l flex fuel my oil pressure sensor was displaying very strange and erratic readings, sometimes 0psi and other times 80psi . I wanted to ensure there wasn't a problem with my oil pump, so I hooked up this gauge. Since the sensor was in an awkward place (I needed Lisle 13250 special socket to get it out) it took about 15-20 min to remove the old sensor and install this mechanical gauge. The mechanical gauge read normally, clearly identifying my problem. However, the gauge slowly leaked oil out from around the connection between the rubber hose and the top of the gauge itself. For me, this was just a minor annoyance but I worry a gauge of this quality could break completely off the hose, causing oil to spray out, lose pressure, and damage an engine. I returned the gauge to amazon because of this. I do not recommend this one-- spend a little more and get a better gauge.
