The problem I have is I used to be a strongman and now I'm preparing to compete as a bodybuilder I still can't quite fathom buying anything under an xl I ordered medium after much measuring and deliberation and it's ok but when I drop the next inch will be useless I currently measure 32 around navel pulled tight. I should have listened to other reviewers saying size down but like I said I haven't quite got used to being lean yet. This belt is a solid investment for anyone doing any form of strength training personally though I would use a prong belt for maximal lifts not because you can't trust this belt I just feel the conical shape leaves me feeling a little exposed around the obliques and if I'm going for a 1 rep max I like feeling like an anaconda is about to devour me. I has no indication what size goes with what waist....** A: Maybe this will give you some help on the products sizing. I have a 34" waist and 36 around the oblique's. (above the waist line) I bought a Medium and it fits fine. However, I would not recommend a Med. for someone more the about 1" larger then me in either location. (not enough belt left) This belt would fit several sizes smaller just fine. Also, the Schiek website sizing shows: Waist in inches SM 27-32" Med. 31-36" Lg. 35-41" XL 40-45"Awesome belt. I've used the typical Leather belts for 25+ yrs. and this belt is far more comfortable, with as good and possibly even better support.
