I love having this tape around. I initially bought my "first" roll to repair some menus for a friend's restaurant, but in the process, found it's a great black tape for covering cords (decoration purposes only, not in place of electrical tape); used some on a black tray handle; and yes, to repair and embellish some books - makes a strong, nice looking spine. And well, for whatever else may come up. It's got a good sticking adhesive, the material is strong with a quality look and feel to it; better than black colored duct tape for appearance specific projects. Very pleased with it.

I have collected many books over the years, many new and many old and in need of repair. This product works great for what I need.

I love using this tape to edge and finish my gallery wrapped canvases before entering them in a show or selling them... they look very professional and are exactly the correct size to wrap neatly!!

LOVE this tape for bookbinding! It adheres VERY well! I make my own journals from scratch and this tape is awesome! I'm very impressed. It has a cloth-like feel on the outside so I can leave the spine as is or it's easy to glue or paint on top of the tape for more decoration! (unlike duct tape or packing tape). I will never use anything else! Plus 1 roll goes a long way! So glad I found this brand!

I acutally bought this to cover some sun damaged interior trim on a beater car i purchased. Normal "duct" style tape vinyl and adhesive will wrinkle when exposed to temperature extremes inside a car, and the gloss of the vinyl doesnt match much.This is a nice flat black tape with a great adhesive, it doesnt wrinkle if applied properly, and is holding up great so far.I missed the hottest part of the summer, and not much holds up in the Virginia heat down here, it will be interesting to see. A great band-aid fix for the budget minded.

I use this as gaffers tape. It's really quite expensive for what it is... but I have to admit that this is pretty good tape for what I use it for. I'll bet it works great for books too. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I really want to protest the cost! Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.

It is white. But I was expecting a larger spool I could use for several projects, instead on maybe one.And as I said it was late. Disappointed for sure.

I ordered this tape because it was nice and wide. I used it to repair an important reference manual that I use frequently at work. The manual is paperback, and I have had it many years. It was practically split apart into two halves. This tape is very, very sticky, and it completely bound the two halves solidly. It has a fabric type of structure that is very strong.

The tape is great quality and the service was even better.

Bought this to try and save my thirty year old Bible which contains lots of my notes and comments. It is now usable again.

This is good tape for book repair, although the tape arrived with the outside tape very dirty.

Worked well. Gave a chance to reposition.

Excellent, sticks to (almost?) anything and very strong.
