After I injured my back in an auto accident and later developed sciatica; I discovered that Vitamin E greatly lessens my symptoms of sciatica.But this dry version of Vitamin E has produced the best results that I have ever experienced from this supplement.I read that the dry form of Vitamin E is more easily absorbed in the body and I believe it because that awful painful nerve pain that ran down my legs is gone.It took about 10 days of taking this every day and my suffering ended.To see if my sciatica just had quit bothering me or it really was this dry vitamin E that stopped my pain; I stopped taking it for a few days and my sciatica came back with a vengeance. I started taking these again and my pain went away and it has stayed away and it has been over 2 months.From now on this will be the only vitamin E that I will take.I just switched all of my vitamins and minerals to the Now Foods brand and I am so glad that I did because they are high quality at a reasonable price.

Good Product, great price. I've used "NOW" products when "Piping Rock" is not available. Generally I find them to be high quality using better ingredients than more "popular" brands. The Dry E-400 is a case in point. You can buy E tocopheryl anywhere in liquid capsule form, but try to find E tocopheryl SUCCINATE or "Dry" E, is another story. There is research that suggest that liquid E is more beneficial topically than internally, and that some of the benefits of liquid capsule may be reduced over time as the E in the capsule is used to preserve the liquid (usually glycerin or some vegetable oil the E is suspended in. However there are recent studies that suggest that E-Succinate actually works with the Mitochondria within the cells as a beneficial anti-oxidant. "Now" brand and "Piping Rock" are the two I have found with good ingredients and are reasonably priced. NOW also makes an excellent Echinacea product using the more potent root, rather than flower or leaves that you find with most other brands.

I had bariatric surgery that bypasses a portion of the intestines, so I malabsorb fat, and also fat soluble vitamins - ADEK. NOW vitamins are generally fairly respected and trusted in the supplement market. I've been taking this dry (water miscerble) form of vitamin E for about 10 years now, after about 5 years of floundering with bad labs and trying other brands. After taking now (I need 2 daily, ymmv) my E values have come into normal range and held steady. I hope they keep making this value product at the competitive value it's been for the last decade.

I open these up and put them in my homemade dog food. Can't actually tell you how they taste or absorb. But my dog is healthy.

Thankfully NowFoods makes Dry E, for those of us who need a non oil/fat based supplement.I've taken three a day for approximately four years and my Vitamin E level has been consistently within desired ranges.With a malabsorption disorder as severe as mine, supplementation is crucial to staying alive and anything fat based or suspended is a waste and results in needing infusions or injections.Medium to large smooth caplets too, no difficulty swallowing with mild achlasia.

We use a number of vitamins and supplements as addition to as healthy a diet as we can accomplish regarding available choices and budgets. We also indulge occasionally in dinning out, which tends to diminish healthy vs a night away from the kitchen. The brand we prefer is. NOW FOODS. Vitamin E is essential as an antioxidant of choice. In my case I do not tolerate oil based capsules. For me this is a great alternative. I incorporate it into my dietary needs additioaly to help with fibroid tissue issues recommended by my GYN.
