Cool vintage automobile that turns into a knight-themed robot? Yes, please!
I found out about this from YouTube superstar Thew Adams, when it popped up in one of his unboxing videos. I love the sleek, old-school cars of the early 20th Century. I grew up in the 1980s, when robots that turn into other things became popular. And I'm fascinated by Medieval armour and weapons. So to get all three of those things in one little lump of plastic? SOLD!The plastic feels good and solid, the car mode looks amazing, the transformation is fairly easy, the "knight" mode looks fun in an over-the-top steampunk / Medieval hybrid way, and the joints are good and solid (even though the articulation is sometimes hampered). About the only real caveat is that the top of the car just lifts up into a flap that hangs off the backside and looks like a tail-coat -- it not only gets in the way of posing the legs, but it's also the only part of the figure that feels particularly fragile, so be aware of that. All in all, this is a great little transforming car-robot that looks incredibly stylish in both modes. But it's definitely going on my shelf as a car, along with my other small plastic replicas of old-time cars that look pretty.
