Wish there was more in the box but still brilliant
This was a lovely rainy afternoon activity for our 5 year old. It's a construction set which allows the child to cement (and thus build) a building using the trowel, bricks and mortar provided. Once completed, if you'd like to do it again simply put the brick construction into water for a couple of hours - this dissolves the mortar without affecting the bricks themselves. Once done, dry the bricks and start again. Unfortunately, there is only enough mortar to remake your project 2 times (possibly three depending on how much mess your child makes!). It's a well made gift and our 5 year old had a blast, but since it only takes an hour or so to complete it would have been nice to have more mortar/bricks to extend the play time. However, it's a unique idea and we are now big fans. Would recommend.

Real Life mini bricks and mortar to encourage your budding builders! Great STEM toy at a good price!
This is a really great construction set - Complete with real miniature bricks and mortar! The bricks are just lovely - made from ceramics, they have the look and feel of real bricks and have lovely details such as air holes and arches. The bonding material is a blend of cornstarch and river sand for an authentic texture, and this holds the bricks together really well. For older children and adults, this set builds a throne - ideal for fantasy fans or royalists! I ordered this set to use in my Nursery Playroom where I work with children aged 2 - 3. I always try to give them opportunities to handle and experience real life objects - these miniature bricks are just perfect, with their authentic feel and a size that is ideal for little hands. I will not be insisting that they stick to the throne design of this set, but I am sure that the children I work with will thoroughly enjoy building with these little bricks and they will love the sensory nature of the cement. Once completed, you can dissolve the mortar by soaking it in water - the bricks are unaffected, and can be re-used. I love the STEM nature of this construction kit, and think it will offer us many hours of entertainment. This would be a great gift for the budding builder, and will be a very welcome experience for my little explorers. Priced at under £10 this is a great value set and I am really pleased with this!

Construction Set
I won’t lie at the price listed, I was expecting slightly more from this manufacturer. I mean it’s a cool concept that you actually get like proper little brick style pieces and then plaster to fix it all together. But you get very little in the packaging and within 10 minutes you’re completed, this was my little nephew going it too! It the pack you literally got 40 little bricks in the pack, some plaster and a tool. I must admit it is great fun but I feel like you should get double the contents minimum for the price. I would however happily pay £20-30 for a bit tub full of bits to make my own models. The end result however is cool, I like how the manufacturer has a load of designs to choose from too :)

Brilliant gift idea
What an incredible idea. This makes the most wonderful gift for my son who loves being outdoors and building. The instructions are vague and rather simple however with a little bit of adult guidance my eight-year-old managed to complete this all by himself in under two hours. It’s a wonderful product that has been well designed and clearly thought about. The bricks are very small however I am happy with the size as the product is not intended to be used /left outdoors as water will make the mortar weaken and disappear so it sits in my sons bedroom window which means the smaller the better. He really enjoyed making this and you get enough mortar to make it another two or three times . Overall I’d be more than happy to recommend this and think it would definitely make a wonderful gift.

Not like other craft sets, but a great idea
This brick throne construction set is a weird one. It's kind of unlike any crafting set that I've used with our kids before - distinctly unglamorous, but very practical and tactile. The notion of using bricks and a mortar that's suitable for kids is a brilliant one, and something that my ten-year-old daughter was really game for trying. It's a simple concept that didn't take a wild amount of time to complete, but she really enjoyed it.The throne design is... weird? I don't understand why of all the kits to make something out of bricks, someone would design a mini throne. In theory the set can be reused to build other things, but in practice I'm not sure that there are enough bricks etc for really satisfying creative play. Overall though, for a low cost, this is a great idea, enjoyed by my daughter and very satisfyingly tactile.

Something different
This is a very different craft set to what we are used to. We keep a box of new craft sets for rainy days, school holidays so whenever there is an im bored moment or the dreaded phrase there's nothing to do I'm this house we get out a new craft set. This one is the most different one we have tried I would never of thort of brick laying for kids. The brick pieces are really small your throne isn't going to be massive but just a ni e little decorative piece. There is more than enough "cement" to stick it all together we had loads left over so you deffinatly don t need to make up the full bag.The design of the throne was preety easy to follow my son is only 5 and enjoyed helping it ended up a messy job but everyone had fun.Younger children will require adult supervison/help

A great educational toy
Oh wow this box is heavy, I guess that's the bricks and cement. They come in a good sturdy box hopefully can be used again once my 5 year decides to rebuild. He need help and supervision which Dad was very willing to do and of they went into the garden shed. It comes with full easy to follow instructions and Dads report was they had great fun laying the bricks, mixing the cement (5year old asked or a cement mixer) The best part is that you can soak it and it will all come apart to do again. Excellent value for money.
