How do I know which grit for use?

Dear customer, the assorted grit sand sponge usage: Coarse 60 grit: remove of previous finishes, stripping of wood Medium 80 grit: medium surface finishing, primary sanding Fine 120 grit: lightly sand between coats Superfine 180 grit: Remove high spots or traces and roughen the surface of the old paint to better adhere to the new paint Ultrafine 220 grit: before the painting, remove the filter or the old paint drips and runs Microfine 280 grit: before requiring the final coating of a high-quality finishes , or use on the soft material as unpainted plaster
