Smooth Shifting, Even on Cold Starts
Great transmission fluid noticed an immediate difference after the change. My 6-speed shifts are much smoother, especially from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Even on cold starts, when the transmission used to feel a bit notchy, now it shifts like butter.

Get it for your Honda
Got Redline D4 for my 04 Honda Accord w Auto trans. Did some extensive reading about product on various forums and what not prior to deciding to give it a shot. I'm a big fan of Hondas, but if you're looking at this stuff for your Honda you already know all about the transmission issues. And you probably already know that most people tell you to only use z1 or the new dw1 fluid from Honda. I had a 2000 accord prior to this one, bought it used and did the trans drain and fill 3 times w dw1- 5k miles later I had trans issues. Maybe the fluid, maybe not. Car had 190k. My 04 has 130k and I just purchased it used. When I initially drove it I didn't notice anything with the transmission, but the more I drove it I started to notice a bit of a long shift from first to second, and a bit of gear searching from time to time in the city. I knew the fluid was a little dirty and my first step when I buy a used car is to change oil, trans fluid, diff fluids, power steering, etc. so that tells you a little about my maintenance habits w vehicles and my attention to detail. I only use Mobil 1 synthetics religiously but their ATF Fluid wasn't necessarily "recommended". So I decided to give this Redline a shot. I must say, I haven't driven many miles yet (500 or so) since the change, so time may change my mind. However, with how auto trans work you can usually tell almost instantly if you have a fluid that isn't compatible with your car. Slipping, weird shifting, etc. I am really pleased with the results of the Redline ATF though. I immediately notice little to no gear searching, and the 1-2 shift is much better. Overall the shifts are still smooth when I'm just taking my time, and very quick and precise if I'm giving a little more gas. Granted my fluid was ready for a change, but I think the Redline improved my cars shifting more than new Honda fluid would have. I've seen both results in different cars. I did a 4 x drain and fill using 12 qts of Redline to get as much old out as I could. My advice, forget Honda fluid and buy this Redline. It's a much better fluid. It's synthetic. It works great, and seems to be completely compatible with Honda's fragile transmissions. In my opinion it's the best precaution you can possibly take. I'm really pleased with the results. As I said before, time could change my opinion but I don't expect it to. Synthetic fluids run cooler, don't break down as easily or as quickly, last longer, etc. I plan to drain 3 quarts and fill at every 5k oil change. Overkill? Maybe. But if you own a Honda and are looking at Redline fluid you know why I'm taking the extra precaution.

It works!!!!
I used this stuff to do a full flush on my 2003 Mazda Tribute. My car was starting to shutter (maybe slip?) when I was going steady at ~55mph and the engines rpms were low (presumably 4th gear, it's a 4 speed automatic). It wouldn't do this if I stepped on the gas and the car downshifted. After flushing my tranny with this fluid, that shuttering has not happened. Also, my first and 2nd gear shifts are MUCH smoother, sometimes they can only be noticed by watching the tachometer. I have driven about 4k miles since flushing my transmission, and I haven't had any more wonky transmission behavior!!! How I did it/instructions for the Mazda Tribute 2003 (same for Mercury Mariner and Ford Escape ~2002-2006 I'm not 100% sure of those years): I connected the fluid output of the transmission (going to the radiator) to a 3/8" ID fuel hose and put the other end of the hose in a 5 gallon bucket. I poured in 12 quarts in with the car running and in park. When I started the car it gushed out ~4 quarts. As you add more it flushes more out. This is how I have seen it done in many YouTube videos, hopefully it is flushing the old stuff out! I would think it would have to be. Anyway, after adding 12 quarts and letting it empty itself until it couldn't anymore, I turned off the car, reconnected the output of the transmission to the radiator, and topped off the sump area (3-4 more quarts were need). I drove around a bit, came back and checked the level. I used my manual for further instructions on perfecting the transmission fluid level (this is equally important if not more important than having fresh fluid!!!), and one week later I drove 1 hour to my parents' house, parked in their garage (you want a surface that is almost perfectly level. A small grade makes a huge difference in my car!) And with the engine hot, running and in park I checked the fluid. I needed to add a bit more. You want to actually drive at decent speeds before checking your fluid. If you let it idle for a long time it gets hotter than it would be if air is constantly flowing through the radiator! What I did was I turned my car off when I got to my parents house, got ready in about 1 minute to check the level and add fluid if necessary, started the car again (didn't want to run it for that minute for fear that I would further heat the fluid and get a false reading), and then I checked the level, added, checked, and added again until it was 1/3 up the hashed area. The dipstick says not to add more if it's in the hashed area. I wanted it to be at least 1/3 of the way up since I had driven on a cold day. Hope this review helps!!

Amazing stuff! The fix-all for all Acura transmissions!
What can I say? I have nothing but praise for this stuff. I bought my 2004 Acura TL in August and really haven't been able to enjoy it since then because a week after my purchase, I was told by a small shop that my transmission was on its way out. I've been babying the car since then, and keeping my fingers crossed during the several 250 mile trips I've made to my hometown. I didn't have many symptoms, except the occasional chatter, RPM fluctuation, etc. I narrowed it down to the torque converter, then did some research. After replacing the 3rd and 4th gear pressure switches and noticing a little difference, I decided to do more research. Then I heard about this stuff... Oh man, was it ever worth the $130 investment! I first got the car jacked up, and loosened the drain. I'm not kidding, I don't think my fluid has been changed in the 107,000 miles on the car. It was pretty dark, and although there was no "sludge," I wasn't happy with the consistency of the old fluid. I spent a couple hours doing the 3x3 fluid change. First of all, it's a comforting feeling knowing I've got clean, fresh, red fluid in there. Secondly, HOLY CRAP! The car drives like it's brand new! No more "gear guessing" or chatter or anything! Shifts are smooth, clean, crisp, etc. I didn't realize how sloppy the shifts had become until I replaced the fluid with this stuff. If you're even contemplating trying this stuff out, DO IT! Thank you, Red Line, for allowing me to begin enjoying my dream car!!!

Best stuff you can get for gm auto’s
This is by far the best thing you can do for a 4l60e, 700r4, 4l65e, 4l80e. It just works wonders with the standard in truck transmissions. I was seriously about to go have the tranny rebuilt. I’ve had 3 rebuilt all around the 175k-200k mark. My Tahoe was banging into 2nd and not pulling great in 3-4. Changed filter(every 50k miles for my trucks) and emptied through radiator. Refilled with redline d4 and drove it. Banged into 2nd 1 last time on the test drive and I tell you it now shifts like new. I have a rebuilt tranny in 2 other 4l60’s (1 with about 400k on truck, 125k on trans) and I emptied both and added the redline. I don’t normally write these long winding reviews but this stuff is awesome. Trans runs 20 degrees cooler on stock cooler, shifts like a dream, pulls like it was new. I know it’ll eventually run out of clutch material but I’ll be danged if I didn’t see a huge improvement from the jump. Didn’t have to join some club to buy it either.

Tr6060 Camaro
1st-2nd was feeling notchy and would grind when cold. Dumped the fluid and filled it with the redline d4 and so far all the issues are gone. The tremec took just about the whole jug.
