I felt I needed to write a review cause this product has helped a great deal. I have a 12 year old son who I have sole custody of. He has several different issues and is disabled. For years I tried different things to stop him from his hand biting and nothing ever worked until one of his theapist ask me to buy him a pair of these,which I had no idea a product like this existed. So I agreed and bought him his first necklace in front her using the Amazon app.I have been pleasantly surprised the product works great. His hand biting has stopped. That said of course the product doesn’t last forever. I buy a set every other month and have a pair on hand in the house for a standby when he eventually chews the necklace in half. But compared to swollen disfigured hands,$20 every other month is very well worth it!! I pick this over the alternative any time.They work so well that when he broke his first set his school called me about them trying to find a replacement but told them a set was on the way and would arrive soon. They were very glad and ask where I got the product and ask the name of the product to help other children in my son’s class. I shared a link with them. I’ve seen some reviews that aren’t so good but nothing is prefect but I think compared to hand biting these little necklaces are brilliant!! I’d recommend anyone who has a child prone to a lot hand biting,be it a nervous reaction,a habit or in my case a sensory issue give this a try. It might not work for all but it sure works great for my son and I’m very thankful this product is made. Wish I had known about these years ago. Hope this review is helpful for some. Hopefully maybe it’ll save somebody headaches and heartaches. Very helpful product.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO MOMS WHO HAVE KIDS THAT CHEW THEIR CLOTHES!!!My 6 year old son is a big chewer. He's always chewing his shirt collars, sleeves, fingers, toys. An ad for a product like this popped up on my Facebook feed, but I'm not one to buy from Facebook ads so I headed over to Amazon and found this. It is perfect - wears easily, not too long, and has a pull release so if he were to snag it wouldn't choke him, but come off instead. The dog tags were a great option as his father is military and now my son thinks he is hot stuff because he's got tags like his dad. The tags (2) are thick, solid and of ample size without being too big. So far they are holding up very well and show hardly any sign of being gnawed on. If he were to lose these today I'd order another set without hesitation - heck, I may just buy another set to have on hand. I'm hoping he will grow out of this phase but until then it's Munchables for us!

I bought this for son. He uses a pencil chew at school to deter chewing on the collars of his clothing. He loves his dog tags and the design is awesome and discreet. My only dislike is that the tags are large in comparison to the size of his mouth making them slightly more difficult for him to use.

As an autistic adult it's hard to find chew stims that aren't too visually prominent or distracting. This meets my needs perfectly - and it can withstand a lot of stress chewing from me so far.
