The Unofficial Guide to Disney Cruise Line 2017 (The Unofficial Guides)

We are first time cruisers so it was helpful. But, when it came to booking things in advance, there was very little information about what needs to be booked and when. The information on shore excursions was almost laughable. The info on Disney's webpage was way better. I look to Unofficial Guides to tell me the stuff Disney isn't telling me, and this book falls short. I would have liked customer reviews of shore excursions and customer travel comments and tips similar to what these authors present in the guides for the parks. Way too much of this book is devoted to one cruise line versus another. I had already decided which cruise to take when I got this book, so much of the 440 pages was worthless.Also, this was the first time I purchased a book on Kindle. It Expires! In 4 hours my book goes away! What?? This is not mentioned in the description for the kindle book. If I had known, I would have purchased a real book. Planning a cruise takes months. It is an added stress that my book might not last that long. Note that my three star rating is based on content, not on the kindle format I selected. But I suggest a hard copy or an electronic version from a different vendor.

Great tips. We are going on the cruise in OCT 2017 so I am highlighting all my favorite tips that I feel are helpful. One thing that would be a little easier for me personally would be to break up the book in order of the ships so you can read all about the ship that you will be sailing on.

I've never been on a Disney cruise or any cruise for that matter. This book helped me prepare for all of it! It's so specific but also not too much to read. It has information for every cruise so you can skip a few sections if you want.I loved this book. Best book I've ever bought for preparing for a vacation. Amazing.

Most of the information is the same as last year's book but it does have some updated information. If you are in the planning stages for a cruise, then get this book and then buy the newest one for the year your actually plan to cruise when it comes out.

The book is a very good resource when thinking traveling on a Disney cruise for the first time. It's plenty of details that will make your decision easier, specially for beginners.

Great book full of interesting and useful information.

The guide still pack lots of infos and interesting advices. But humour is much more downlpayed.With very little picks at the TWDC or irony toward the Guests, you can (or could?) find in the original guide.The main issue besides the choice of your cruise is the choice of seas shores excursions.The one offered from the ship come at a premium price.But they are plenty of operators that provide the same stuff at a better price.And this guide to be great should list the serious and reliable ones.
