Rosicrucian Prophecy
It keeps you interested until the end.It was good to see new characters introduced, along side the established crew from book one.

A Historical Adventure
Another exciting and informative story from JPD. Rosicrucians, New Age alchemy, Guy Fawkes and lots in between. A rampage through history and a modern day terrorism threat. All woven into a fast paced thriller. Do the events of our past history influence our future. Read it and see.

Curate's egg
Thunderbirds meets Scott Mariani with a generous portion of tripe. The archeological elements are gripping as is the action, if somewhat implausible. However, Augustus and his entourage are simply boring and long winded.

A gripping historical thriller to really get your teeth into
Another expert blend of historical novel and thriller from John Paul Davis. The White Harts are racing against time to prevent the Rosicrucians from taking power in Europe and carrying out a successful re-enactment of the Gunpowder Plot. A gripping historical thriller to really get your teeth into, complete with fascinating layers of history and intrigue, whilst exploring the best and worst of human nature as history tries to succeed where before it failed.I thoroughly enjoyed it - the pace and story had me gripped, and the history had me fascinated.

Hunting the Villain ain't much fun!
I have to say that this is the first time that I have had to share a real waste of reading time with this book. The idea is full of possibilities but the fault lies with this writer's editor who seems to have been on holiday when his MSS was put on his/her desk. The whole story is drowned in unnecessary phrases, often over-dense and ill-chosen, and there is no clarity between the goodies and the baddies so that one quickly becomes lost. I am still struggling to finish this tiresome book and am sorry that there is so little to recommend it. I could not find a Rosicrucian anywhere, only the barely discernable Harts and the ghost of Guy Fawkes. There is nearly as much confusion under the Houses of Parliament as there are in them! As for a headline....... How to blow up a tadpole in a shark aquarium!

Too much waffle
I enjoyed the first book in the series, fast paced and good characterisations so thought I'd try the second. The formula is almost identical - baddies trying to blow up bits of London, one lone guy (with girl(sister of girl in the first book!)) inside the building evading capture and picking off multiple baddies while his colleagues scramble around the country trying to find answers. If you edited down the pages and pages of convoluted explanation as to why this particular group of baddies were doing what they were doing, it might be more enjoyable. I ended up skipping most of this to get to the action bits. Again the characters are well drawn and likeable so overall enjoyable.

Excellent read
A very excellent read the way the author moves between the 3 story lines is brilliant.Even bringing in history a very interesting and informed read. Can not believe some of the negative reviews.

HIstory/ involved
As usual I mixed up book 1 with book 2. Still have to read book one but it seems to stand alone as a novel. You have to be sure to read every word and be prepared to get a little lost with all the history. I did enjoy the fact that Mr. Davis explains at the end the parts that are actual history and the parts that are fiction .

The White Hart series are an exciting engaging twist. Plots are slick, and keep you on the edge of your seat.Well worth reading this author for the depth of research embedded in his novels Ahead of the genre.

A good story pro;onged to distration
Trapped within the excruciating detail and fluff was a good story if you enjoy conspiracy and Templar/mason connection, but one gets the impression the author was paid by the page. If you like all that detail you will love this but I will be surprised if you don't find yourself thinking "get on with it." I did.
