Good workout, well designed
This rowing machine is quiet, provides a good workout, and folds up easily.* It has a broad range of tension.I'm pretty athletic, and only half tension gives me a good workout.* It glides/pulls smoothly.I can pull my full range, without hitting any rail or hand stops.* It's quiet.I can watch TV, if I raise the volume a bit.** This is my second one. The first was almost silent. On the new one, the fan is silent, but it makes noise on the rail. I think I just need to oil it.* It folds easily. The rowing machine is well balanced; so, it doesn't collapse on me, when I fold/unfold it, and the lock pin slides easily in and out.* It's a breeze to assemble. It took about 15 minutes to assemble. It has very few parts, only about 3 steps to assemble, and no awkward positioning/balancing required. It's also mechanically well designed and sturdy.I love this machine so much, I bought another one to replace a Sunny Health rowing machine, which was completely unusable.

Good rower
This is a good rower at a good value. The only other rowers I have used were Concept 2 at my work's fitness room and an off brand one I purchased prior to this one that was a little over half the price of this one. (Keep in mind in my comparisons that the Concept 2 costs about $1,800)Don't get overwhelmed by the first page of instructions-it is actually fairly easy to put together. I did it alone and I'm only 5'2 130 lb.The tension gets an A+. When using the C2, I would have the tension on 7 or 8, and this rower has significantly more tension on setting 1. Like so much more I was considering not keeping it, but I just powered through and I have definitely noticed a difference in my strength. The handlebar is more comfortable than the C2.The wheels on the railing could use some improvement. On one side little pieces of the wheel can be seen, like it is slowly shredding, like some other reviews have said. I plan to reach out to the company to see if additional wheels can be purchased because then it wouldn't be a big deal to me.The first week or so I glided along the rail with ease and quietness. Then it started making like a clicking noise. Still works well so another issue I plan to deal with soon. The foot plates are great. They are adjustable which is a big plus to me. The previous rower I purchased did not have adjustable plates so I was trying to figure out something to put on the bottom of the plate so my foot sat higher and was strapped in better. Very happy I don't have to Jimmy rig anything on this machine.Everything came packaged almost too well (I had to rip apart quite a bit of Styrofoam) and was in perfect condition expect for scratches on the enter button as seen in my photo. Disappointing, but really not a big deal to me. I do have the habit of hitting start on the display but the only thing I really care about on there is strokes per minute, otherwise I keep track of time and calories on my smart watch. Do not trust the calorie counter on the rower.Size was probably the biggest factor, it had to fit in a closet because I have small children. There are a lot of other rowers out there that are smaller, but this is the only one I found to fit the dimensions i need and have air resistance. (Hydraulic ones being the smallest but most reviewers said it heats up after about 20 min and then the resistance is shot until it cools down. I like to do 30 min sessions so those were out.) I feel like I got lucky that this rower fits perfectly and works well and I like the workout I get when using it.I try to row everyday for at least 20 min, usually do 30, and with working, appointments, dance classes and sports I probably use it 5x a week on average. If something breaks I will update. The wheels on the front to move it are great. If the rower slides on the floor while you are using it, on the front there are two gear looking wheels sticking halfway out. If you turn them rubber stoppers that lower as you turn, and that solved the sliding issue for me. One of mine is kind of broken so it's a pain to adjust. I just leave them down and I am still able to maneuver the rower in and out of my closet.I wish the plastic pieces on the side of the display were wider to accommodate landscape view on phones. And it would be nice if the phone holder was higher than the belt.Overall I really like this rower and would recommend it, especially if you have limited space.

Great rower for a good price
It's always iffy to get a product with no issues like cracked pieces or inoperable components. I was fortunate to get a good functioning product. Assembly took about 30 minutes, but that's only because you have to read where all the screws go. If I had to do it again, I can do it in 15 minutes by memory. Setting up the bluetooth connection between my phone and the digital console took a few attempts, but it is easy to connect to every time after. The resistance has 14 settings where the first setting is pretty light and 14 is enough for tougher workout. I have been using it on resistance 6 for HIIT in between my lifting for 1000 meters each time. It seems that the distance rowed per stroke is 10 meters. I'm not sure if that changes when the resistance changes. I did notice a ticking sound at resistance 14 each time I stroked. One thing you should use is a yoga mat under the rower so that it doesn't slide when you're getting into aggressive rowing. I am happy with the purchase and will update this review if anything happens.
