Intelect 07-7717 Digital NMES Stimulation Unit

I bought this under the recommendation of my husbands OT to assist with early stroke recovery and stimulation of muscles. Easy to use and easy to adjust the stimulation. Plenty of pads came with it, but we bought even more to save having to clean and dry and try to remember which ones to use. We also wanted to use various sizes. I'd recommend it for home use for muscle stimulation post stroke or TBI

My hand is coming to back from wrist drop.

Do not confuse this unit with a TENS unit which has a different purpose. This is Not for pain relief. I bought this to use for my wife who lost use of her right hand after a brain hemorrhage. I had the therapist put in the settings that he uses for her therapy. He even remarked that it was an excellent unit. It does a great job.

Works great ! Using it for a stroke patient to combat spasticity and it is doing it ! But buy plenty of extra electrode pads because they don't last very long with heavy usage.My edit after using it MIN. 1-HR DAILY for 2 years. You need to shave the skin area well where you apply the pads and cleanse the skin well with alcohol wipes before applying the pads to remove all body oils. Keep the pads stored on the plastic they come on when not in use. You can also gently wash them before you store them under gently running water using your finger as a gentle wiping agent. Let them dry before storing it. And never let them touch anything else besides your skin. We get several months out of ours this way. You can also order replacement pads.BE SURE AND PLACE THE ELECTRODE WITH THE RED WIRE, WHERE EVER IT IS PLACED ON THE BODY, CLOSEST TO THE HEART or as the top electrode. PLACEMENT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO GET THE PROPER AND BEST RESULTS. EXAMPLE: RED WIRE ELECTRODE ABOVE ELBOW, BLACK ELECTRODE WIRE BELOW IT.

We had a great experience until a month ago when the second channel completely stopped working. I changed the cords and confirmed it is the box. Looks like returning is not an option anymore. If anyone has an idea how to fix it I’d be ever so grateful.

My son uses the Stim Unit as part of his ongoing therapy. This unit has a range of settings that can be utilized as needed. The controls are easy to adjust. Of all the stim units we have used through the years this one exceeds the competition. Highly recommend for the new user or the expert.

Edit: I purchased larger pads and was was able to make my quad react. The pads are too small for a good quad contraction. I recommend buying larger pads.Not nearly strong enough to work on your quad. At its highest settings, it feels like a feather brushing your skin.
