Can anybody find the mg content of the dha/epa, etc list on their bottle? the display shows all sides but this one, pretty stupid. thx

Dear Peter,EPA & DHA are long-chain fatty acids that are only found in marine sourced oils such as fish oil. As this is a plant source of omega-3, -6 & -9 there is no EPA or DHA in the product.   What makes Echiomega unique is that it contains a high amount of the omega-3 fatty acid SDA which is the direct precursor to EPA and raises cell levels more efficiently than oils (such as flaxseed oil) that only contain the short chain omega-3 fatty acid ALA.  Echiomega offers a nutrient profile that is superior to other plant oils because it offers many similar health benefits as fish oil. What is the ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 in these capsules?

Many thanks for your query.  Echiomega is a natural oil with a natural omega-3 to omega-6 ratio of 1:1.8.  To give you details of the composition of the oil, each gram of Echiomega (2 capsules) provides 496mg omega-3 (of which 325mg is ALA and 144mg SDA), 259mg omega-6 (of which 146mg is LA and 112mg is GLA), and 149mg omega-9 (as oleic acid). 
This unique combination of omega-3, -6 & 9 makes Echiomega a great oil for everyday supplementation.

Is echium seed oil available as a liquid? (I do not want the capsule, because of the ingredients.)

Many thanks for your query.  We are currently the only UK source of echium seed oil supplements and (as with all our products) we encapsulate the oil and use protective blister packaging to protect it against oxidation.  If we did not encapsulate the oil, our Echiomega product would need to be refrigerated after opening and, because the oil starts to degrade upon exposure to air, would need to be consumed within a few weeks.

Is the product PA-free?

Many thanks for your question.  I would firstly l would like to assure you that our Echium seed oil is free of pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs). While these naturally occurring substances are present in the seeds of certain species of plants cultivated for their omega-6/omega-3 oil (e.g. Echium and borage), they are extracted during the refining process and so will not be present in the final oil.
