Even with proper prep at a salon and even using gel nail polish, they chip, pop off and just generally do not last much beyond 5 days. Then, afterwards, they are a wreck for months until the damage grows out. I bought these sort of as a Hail Mary because I like pretty nails. I got 10 days of use before the first strip popped off. I was happy to see that there was no nail damage. A bit later, I took off the rest, using a cuticle oil nail pen with a built in cuticle pusher. Everything came off reasonably easy and my nails do not look to be damaged. There was zero chipping in the 10 day time frame the strips were on and, much to my delight, my soft nails did not rip once.
