Fun and educational book, I used it to sharpen my calligraphy skills. My granddaughter went through the entire book.

My 8 year old granddaughter is enjoying this. She's very artistic so she may grasp this easier than some.

Originally purchased a much more expensive beginner book for adults and it was simply too advanced for a complete beginner that’s never held a fountain pen. Found this one and love it. For now, I don’t need to know the history of every calligraphy style or the different types and weights of paper, and don’t even need to know every type of pen—which is just a little of the stuff covered in the adult book. This book is simple and much more helpful for someone who wants to learn calligraphy the same way they learned to write cursive in school. Teacher gave you examples that showed the direction of the letters in how to form them and you practiced.
