Many of the negative reviews of this product indicate the purchaser received a non-genuine non-HP laser toner cartridge.I can attest that I ordered from this page and I received a genuine HP toner cartridge. It works perfectly. However, you have to be careful when you are ordering!Here is the secret to making sure that you are getting a genuine, official HP OEM toner cartridge. Where the price is listed at the top of this page, make sure it says "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com". Make sure both "ships from" and "sold by" indicate "Amazon.com." The price should be approximately $65.If it doesn't match all the above criteria, it's probably being sold by a 3rd party. Further, if it's much less than $65 and being sold by anyone other than Amazon.com, you may not get a genuine HP cartridge.If it doesn't say "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com" near the price, you can over-ride who you purchase this product from. To choose Amazon.com as your seller, look under the "More buying choices" on the right-side of the page. See if there is an "Amazon.com" seller there, and if so, choose that as your seller.

I have never had a problem with an OEM HP cartridge. This one works great just like the others. One thing to understand is that the toner cartridge does more than just hold the toner. It also includes the drum where the soon-to-be printed image is formed by electrostatic deposition of toner. The deposited toner is then heat fused to the page creating the image. The upside is, when you replace the cartridges on these printers you replace a lot of the stuff that can cause print quality problems. But if the cartridge is not a good one it can cause image quality problems.I have not experienced streaking, bare spots on the page, or other problems that I used to have with off-brand cartridges. The only complaint I have is that the estimated page count is optimistic, but this may be caused by the graphics content of my printing.Get the real HP toner cartridge. You won't be sorry.

I ordered an HP LaserJet 36A print cartridge from Shopat247, which is the main vendor on this page. The print cartridge they sent me was a genuine new HP cartridge.I am surprised at how many reviewers do not understand that their reviews refer to Shopat247 rather than the other marketplace vendors hitch-hiking on the page. If you click through this page and order a cartridge from one of the other hundred or so marketplace vendors, you may get a refurbished or third party cartridge, but Shopat247 is shipping genuine new HP cartridges.Anyone posting a review stating otherwise is slandering an honest vendor. It outrages me that these ignorant reviews are allowed to remain posted.

Defective cartridge . Did not print. Amazon will not take it back because it’s past the return window so I’m out over $90.

I have been buying these for my HP 1505 LaserJet since 2008. Always from Amazon; maybe 10% cheaper than local retail & no sales tax or shipping. The few times I have checked local stores for these, out of curiosity, they have sometimes been out of stock. No excuse for that.I have no complaints whatsoever about the way these cartridges function.However, if I were a business user, running through a cartridge in a month or less time, I would be strongly tempted to use pirate refills, given the huge cost discrepancy.I believe this is my fourth cartridge since September of 2008. I chose to stick with the HP cartridge for the HP printer I use for my business. I have always tried to support our local business supply company, but at a savings of $30 per cartridge, I can no longer pass up purchasing the identical HP cartridges through Amazon. The quality of the copies and the number of copies per cartridge are identical.
