I found this cable to be well made and appears to be high quality. Good sturdy braided cable, nice connectors, etc. I tested it charging my laptop at 5 amps. As a charging cable, it's fine, but as a data cable, my testing found it runs at Gen-1 speeds. I have several other usb C-C gen-2 cables on hand, and they run at specified speeds, but for unknown reasons, this Rampow cable won't run any faster than gen-1, around 430 MB/s.I tested it with an external SSD, in various configurations. I tested with Crystal 5 and crystal 8, I tested on 2 different computers (desktop and thunderbolt laptop). I also tested with both gen1 and gen2 ports on my desktop computer. Same results all round.So this item is going back to amazon. I'll order another cable and test again before I decide whether to return this item.

The packaging for the cable was really nice, and the cable was neatly wrapped. This is a really nice and thick cable as you can see in the video. It feels very solid and durable, it charged my iPad Pro without any issues. The dark blue color looks pretty nice. I will update this review if I have any issues. Recommended.

The USB 3.2 specification quite clearly defines the maximum cable length to be 1 meter (~3 feet). This cable is out of compliance with this specification. As a result, it cannot operate at 10Gbps, much less the 20Gbps stated in the product description. When I tried to use it on a USB 3.2 (3.1 gen2) device, it would not maintain a connection. If all you need is something to charge your device this will probably work, but don't expect a reliable data connection.
