Love the pants, quality a bit iffy
I LOVE these pants. They're super comfortable, a softer material than expected (i expected them to be parachute style), and the dark bits you see on the seat, knees and calf are a super stretchy cottony material. They breathe great, and have enough extra room for an insulating layer in winter. My only complaint (and why I gave 4 stars vs 5) is the threading is a bit cheap. I haven't had them 3 months and I've had to resow a button, on the inside of the belt line no less (so it couldn't be getting much wear- and i don't wear a tight waistline), The threading on the thighs and around the hips scares me too-feels like it will wear soon.Love the techy look and comfortable feel, I just wish they were of a better quality (especially considering the price tag!)

Feels like your not even wearing pants
Wow, just wow. The fabric of these pants are so light weight, and it dries super fast. The knees and all the stretch material I'll be honest I was really worried about. It feels so thin and stretchy. I've read other reviews of poor stitching on the crotch and seem areas and I noticed mine hade what look like a loose stitching in it. However wash it before you go out. It seem to make the stitching shrink and sucre it to the pants, if that makes and sense. These pant however ended up taking a bit more abuse the first time I went out than I expected them to. But they held up perfectly fine. The knees are so breathable, walking on the trail feelike like your not wearing any pants at all. When it come to hiking on hot and humid Fl in the 80's it's perfect. I love these pants. $50 was a tough price to swallow especially when their are much better tactical pants out their (5.11, Blackhawk, tru-spec) however the one thing that seperates bear grylls pants is the flexibility, breathability, and super lightweight. For camping, hiking, or just a walk through the woods, bear grylls has nailed it.

Bear Grylls Men's Survivor Trouser
Got this as a birthday gift for my son - at his request. He was very happy with them. I inspected them pretty good and was going to have a seamstress sew the seams because reviews said they come apart. However - both ladies I took it too said that it all looked great to them and the way they were constructed made it difficult to stitch over just to be sure. So maybe they have changed/bettered their methods since the reviews were posted. He has had them several months now - and still all good! :)

I've bought tons and tons of " tactical " or survival type pants trying to find ones that dry fast , last long and most of all are comfortable.. and these are by far the absolute best pants i've ever owned. these are one of a few pairs i have purchased and as long as you don't get the cheap walmart version they are great. Strong and fit like a well broke in glove. i can't say enough good things about them. and i actually use mine for what their intended for and they hold up great.

Yes Comfortable? No Breathable
Light? YesStretchable panels? YesComfortable? NoBreathable? NoI didn't read the description. Not sure if the black panel portions were described as stretchy but considering these are an outdoor pant (and all the very physical, knee scraping, ass sliding that Bear does), I expected the knee and ass portions would be reinforced. Not soft, stretchy, un-reinforced material that does not protect whatsoever.

nice pants - there are better
are too big for me, otherwise I think they could have been ok.cons - the material is not stretchable - I would recommend buying a hiking pants with a 3d stretching technology.pros - the knees and ass protection is nice, the leg protection is great to avoid the friction from the shoes or branches. it has a lot of pockets.

pantspantspants
Took these to Everest Base Camp, Thailand, and Japan about a month ago. Performance was perfect. They do get a little warm when you're pushing hard and it's over 70 deg F, so I wish the legs unzipped - just buy different pants if that's your thing. I only deducted one star because they aren't necessarily pretty. I mean, you can't really wear these to the gym or around town, you'll look like you sat in oil.Go Bear!

Outstanding
I did a 3 day, minimum supplies camping trip. I wore these the entire three days in 40 degree nights, rain and mud. They were bit chilly but I was the only one that stayed dry. They were covered in mud, sap and fish blood. After one wash everything came out. Very good product.

these trousers are absolutely awesome! They are lightweight
WOW, these trousers are absolutely awesome! They are lightweight, when they get wet they dont suck up the water, and i have caught already a dozen times on spikey bushes and the have not ripped a bit!One of the best trousers for hiking and climbing around, although you have to remember the are NOT warm, so not really designed for cold weather but they are nearly 100% windproof. The only negative aspekt i could find was the two of the beltloops, where you can put your belt through, are fastened by buttons and sometimes get unclipped but that not really a big drama.Anyway great product- definatley worth buying.

These trousers are superb for outdoor activities, the fit is slightly tailored which is great no excess material to get snagged or cause any chaffing. The material is light weight and they're really good when soaked through, they remain comfortable allowing you to crack on! They dry very quickly and seam to shed the dirt as you go these trousers will survive the tumble dryer and won't look a mess when not ironed, I really love them they perform very well much better than any other competitor I've tried.

Is this a real survivor?
In fact I wanted to give this pair a two star review, but I do consider them to be okay. What I really really really don't like is the use of velcro on all pockets!! In an outdoor pant like this there should be no velcro at all!! only buttons. The velcro of one of the back pockets came off after two days normal use of the pants!!!!Second is that there is no drawing cord at the end of the pipes. The rest (fabrics, quality) is fine

comfortable, flexible
Wore them for a bushcraft week in the forests in sweden with martial arts training all day. I had no problems with them and they were light, comfortable, flexible, durable and dried quickly. Perfect for outdoor activities.
