Cool Tool
OK I purchased this wrench as I prefer do my own work in guitar set ups & repair. Works very well on my ESP guitars as well as others. Saves time. Highly recommend this item for those do it yourself luthiers.

Great In Concept. Fails In Execution And Protection.
The concept of this "multi-spanner wrench is not new. The addition of the padded backing, while nice in concept, is not new either. It's failures are also nothing new. Like all of these "multi-spanner " wrenches they don't work on many of the nuts on various guitars. The padded backing does not cover enough of the back of the wrench so the teeth still scratch the finish on your instrument. This one is also thicker than many others on the market. This may or may not make it more durable but it also means that the sides can't be as a screwdriver as universally as others on the market. Sort list of pros And Cons: Pros: Excellent price compared to similar products. Stainless steel construction. Hole to hang from a peg or hook on/near your workbench. Can be used for a limited variety of nuts on most guitars. Padded backing - Useful on things like jack plate nuts or string ferrules/nuts (Also note cons for this). Cons: Thicker than others on the market - Increases durability but limits usage as a screwdriver and makes it hard to get under some knobs to tighten down the nut on the potentiometers. Padded backing doesn't cover sufficiently and teeth can still scratch finish, especially when working on knobs and pickup switch selectors. Most of these cons can be said of all of the other spanner wrenches on the market so this is something that is great in concept but fails in execution much of the time. Still, when it does work it can be a real time saver, and at this price if you ARE gong to buy a mult--spanner wrench this is the one I would suggest you get. Hope this is not too confusing and can help even a little.

It's very sturdy which was a concern and the felt backing protects your guitar.
These tools are pretty sturdy. I can't imagine ever bending it just removing knobs. The felt backing was very slightly misaligned but has no negative effect as far as I can tell. I haven't used it yet for tightening nuts. It was a good price and quite useful. The shipping was quick as always with Prime. I don't see why anyone would pay more for a similar tool.

Inexpensive but CHEAP
This inexpensive copy is cheaply crafted. The felt backing uses poor adhesive that allows movement with little pressure against the felt. This is sure to shift over time with use. The felt is poorly cut and extends over the the gripping teeth, making initial use sloppy. To it's credit, it will tighten and loosen nuts on your guitar, but it's durability is questionable. I would recommend spending a few dollars more & getting a better crafted tool.

Its Perfect Really
I have read reviews about this scratching the guitar. Yes, if your in a hurry and do not cover the area where this will make contact but so will any other. Cover your guitar with a cloth of any sort and this will work without any damage. This was the first time I ever changed my guitar knobs and I had zero issues. Great deal!
