Hartke's HC33 Analog Bass Chorus Pedal features all-analog circuitry for adding lush, shimmering accents to your sound. From vibrant modulation to elegant swirls, the HC33 has you covered. A Depth knob lets you set the modulation sweep amount, while the Speed knob adjusts the rate of the chorus effect.

Better with sigle coil pickups
The main issue that I have is the loss of low end with this pedal. If you're the kind of person that does research before you buy. You have read this many times in reviews for bass guitar pedals; all of the highly rated and more expensive pedals have a low pass circuit built in to their designs. I'm quite sure its not expensive to do this; still most don't. Yes they added an extra tone circuit, but it was a compromise and ineffective in preserving the low frequencies. Because of the price I'm holding back on my critique. Some people like it; I didn't send mine back because I thought it may work better for guitar and it was inexpensive.

Subtle effect
Very quiet pedal with easily adjusted parameters. Nonetheless, this is a fairly mild effect compared to other chorus units. That's fine for me, but you may want a more dramatic range than this offers.

Nice and Fuzzy
Nice fuzz distortion with a heavy low end. When I max it out, it sounds like heavy metal. Lots of tonal variation, but I had the most fun with the maxed-out heavy metal. Not bad for a pedal that cost me just $40.

nice distorted fuzzy sound.
Bought many overdrive pedals before this one expecting a bit of distortion on the bass - got zilch. finalyy got this guy - works great. If you are in a 3 piece band and need a thick bass background for thin lead solos, this is the pedal to get.

Feels cheap, poor quality control.
Very low quality with poor quality manufacturing. The pedal feels light and cheap. The paint was already blemished. There was fuzz stuck in the paint. The metal is thin cheap aluminum and the graphics are just a sticker.
