Great product, very durable!
First time making a Christmas pudding, and this worked perfectly! I just fumbled a lot with the locking lid. But it even worked in my instant pot!! Arrived a lot sooner than expected as well!

Perfect steamed pudding
Perfect size and the locking lid is a definite plus....makes it easy to take out of the water bath.

I steamed a Christmas pudding today and discovered that both the top and bottom have rusted terribly. Black stuff is also coming
This pudding steamer rusted badly after one use. I steamed a Christmas pudding today and discovered that both the top and bottom have rusted terribly. Black stuff is also coming out on kitchen towel, from lid outside rim and top of bowl. Quite disgusting and not fit to be used again. My daughter just bought this for me from Amazon. What a waste of money.

Good for English "puddings"
Worked great for the Christmas pudding that I made. Came out of the pan without sticking.

Great little pudding steamer!
UPDATE:Despite my initial enthusiasm, I am not happy with the quality of this product. The coating inside all chipped off after only a few uses. Paul Hollywood, you shouldn't put your name on such cheaply made products!!ORIGINAL 5 STAR REVIEW:I already have a larger (2L) pudding steamer that's great for the Xmas pud, but I wanted a smaller sized one for regular steamed puddings, so I got this 1L one. I grew up eating steamed puddings of various kinds and about a year ago started making my own versions inspired from my childhood. I've only used this steamer once so far, but with spectacular results. I made an Orange Treacle Steamed Pudding (my own recipe) and I have to say, I'm so happy not to be dealing with twine and tinfoil etc. Just snap the lid on, and it's easy to move the steamer in and out of a pot of boiling water. Once cooked, the pudding slipped out of the steamer no problem and my friends all loved the end result. Can't wait to use it again!

Who decided to put the handles where they did?
I've used the steamer several times now and once I figured out the lid locking mechanism I can live with it. However, good luck trying to get the pudding out without making a mess or having the exact size plate/saucer to fit the bowl opening. The handles actually protrude above the rim of the bowl by about an inch, so even if you added the perfect amount of batter/mix, you are left hoping that the pudding holds together as it flops onto the plate. I've seen other designs where the handles sit well below the rim of the bowl which seems to make more sense. Or just use a regular pudding bowl and live with using paper, foil and string to form the seal or lid.

Poor quality ...non sticksurface became loose after using it 4 times
bought this product at the end of 2017. I have only used it for Christmas puddings and it worked a treat. I used it exactly 4 times and never used any abrasive cleaning methods, just soaking and the dishwasher. Now the nonstick coating is coming off! Very disappointing! Due to health concerns, I will not use it again and certainly cannot recommend this item.

VERY PLEASED GOOD SIZE, VERY WELL MADE PUDDING STEAMER
Very pleased with my Paul Hollywood Pudding Steamer ( never heard of him as we do not watch TV so did not buy it because of him) It is a good size 1.5 Ltr, well & sturdy in a nice gold colour which makes a nice change to black or grey items in the kitchen. The steamer is easy to use and comes with instructions on how to use and keep in good condition. It comes with a 20 year use (5 year) guarantee. Excellent none stick and you can tell this will last for years. No coating to peel away. I wanted this steamer to make good old Steak & Kidney puddings just like my mother used to make and Paul includes a good tastey recipe of his own that taste delightful and yummy! Having seen Paul’s full range of cooking items online, I also bought one of his Gold 3lb loaf tins and now can make excellent sized loafs too. The gold range is a nice addition to any cooks kitchen. Arrived next day well packed (but the amazon box it came in was FAR TOO BIG for the item at least 3 times it’s size which is a waste when we are trying to cut down on packaging) Recommend.

Great product. Would recommend it to anyone.
Made a meat pudding. So easy to use. No messing about with foil tops and string handles.Worked superbly well.To turn it out I loosened the lid, lined it with baking paper, then turned it out into the upturned lid. It was then an easy job to transfer it on to a plate. Could not fault it in any way.

Very good pudding basin
A good, robust, non-stick pudding basin with well fitting lid. I have used it for a variety of things and could actually do with one a bit larger for when we have guests. This size is good for two (savoury) or three (sweet) but one that fed 4 - 6 would be brilliant.

Good but paying for the Paul Hollywood name
First things first, this was bought as a gift for a PH fan before the upset caused by Channel 4 taking the GBBO from the BBC. And fair to say that Mr H's decision to go with C4 when the rest of the presenting team has left has caused a lot of angst and division amongst GBBO fans, recipient of this included. So if you are still a PH fan, this will still be of interest, if not the simple fact and the major issue with this is a seemingly very similar if not identical ( except for colour) steamer is available from the same manufacturer at a significantly lower cost at the time of review. That notwithstanding, the KitchenCraft steamer is a lovely piece of equipment, well made and works beautifully in practice. Modest capacity and a large family would probably want a bigger steamer, non stick worked fine. We hand wash and dry to avoid risk of any long term corrosion at the seams. So a really good small steamer but unless you are a died in the wool PH fan and need the PH endorsement/ stamp on the base and the single recipe (available elsewhere and straight from one of his cookbooks), I would suggest looking at the identical capacity alternative by KitchenCraft. Hence only 4/5.
