Is the unit waterproof ? I after one to go in the shower cubicle

To be honest, I do not know as 1 keep mine in the kitchen. Having said that, the recharging port does have a rubber cover which is quite tight, so I suppose it depends on how wet you would get it.

Can this be used to dispense hand lotion?

I don't see why not. I use carex hand soap in mine without a problem, and that stuff is quite thick! The only real issue I have is when the weather is cold, I have to thin the soap down by about 5%, but I do have the dispenser on a window sill in my kitchen. So I suppose it depends on how thick your hand lotion is, and where your dispenser is positioned, but I would think it will be okay.

I have recharged and the white light has come on but when i take out charger it wont switch on ?

When tbe white light comes on thats it switched on, put your hand underneath and take away and repeat a few times to give the soap time to go through the dispenser and it should come out after a few times on first using
