After retirement, I needed a way to display those crazy badge lanyards. This turned it into a work of art, but still keeps them handy if I need to grab one and use it.Easy to mount on the wall. Even though I didn't particularly want or need the sliding function, I mounted that way because it came that way. You have to slide it on to finish it, so plan for enough clearance to do it (mine is on a narrow wall with an outside corner and one end and an inside corner at the other. I probably have it upside down, but the pegs are straight so it doesn't matter. the pegs are long enough that I can put 3-4 lanyards (similar color or material) on a single peg, and I have a LOT of lanyards!

This is perfect for all my necklaces. I bought 2 Hung them on the inside of my closet doors and put a piece of felt behind them.These are the back holes which will be on both sides

The low rating is ONLY if you intend to install the tie rack on a wall and not adding it to the STOW EASY RACK CLOSET SYSTEM. The description on Amazon states "May be used with Easy Track closet systems or on its own". The package only includes one small 1/2 inch screw and one similar sized specialty screw to be used only with the Easy Rack System. The slide mechanism has screw holes out about 3 1/2' from ONE END. Therefore, if you purchase your own wood screws and you can find a stud or are mounting to wood trim, it only allows screws to be installed at one end. Especially when mounted on hollow dry wall, you need to purchase fairly heavy duty hollow wall anchors since when the slide is extended, the 1 1/2 pound rack has an overall length of 19 inches, which will put quit a bit of stress on the end of the unit. The other option is to drill holes through tie rack and mount it flush on the wall if you can find holes in the slide mechanism, or remove it. I called the manufacturer, the Stow Company in Michigan at 800-562-4257 to ask for their recommendation about the hardware to be used to install the rack to a wall. THEY ONLY RECOMMEND USING IT WITH THEIR SYSTEM. The tie rack looks fine but to me it is not worth the hassle to get it mounted on dry wall and then hope that it does not pull out over time.

I used one of these tie racks in our previous house to hold necklaces. I was so excited to find it in white this time so that it would complement my decor. It hangs at my vanity. It comes on a sliding piece since it’s designed for a closet system, but I removed that and just drilled it directly into my wall.
