Great! Would highly recommend (especially for the price)!
I'm a 3rd year medical student on my Neurology rotation and wanted a reflex hammer like this after I saw that my friend had one. His cost about $20 though (the other popular one here no Amazon) and I'm glad I got this one for cheaper! The head has a good weight and it easily elicits reflexes (tested on myself). The other end is pointed and can be screwed off to reveal a brush inside for light touch sensation. I would definitely recommend this! I just got it so I haven't used it on patients yet but I can't imagine it breaking down for any reason. Will update if it does.

Well, I suck at finding people’s reflexes but it is a very good quality hammer and great for the price.

Solid purchase
Great reflex hammer. Heavy head makes eliciting DTRs easy. It's also not too firm if you use your own finger to soften the impact on your patient. Handle is light-weight plastic so it's not too heavy in your coat or pants. Pointed handle for Babinski and brush for cutaneous reflexes are nice touches.

A great affordable choice
Really good quality and elicits reflexes very easily. An excellent quality for its value. Love the bristles for fine touch.

Great deal!
It's a $16 Tromner reflex hammer. It does what it's supposed to do. The plastic handle feels a bit cheap, but it's a good design - the lightweight handle with just a little bit of flexibility, combined with the heavy head, make eliciting reflexes a breeze for a non-neurologist like me. Nothing smells funny or leaves rubber residue on a white coat pocket, like ultra-cheap models sometimes do. Everything screws apart and appears replaceable. If you're looking for something inexpensive that won't be embarrassing to wield on a neuro rotation or even to use regularly in your non-neurology practice, this is a great option. For the price, it easily earns 5 stars.
