Best mic I've used for podcasting.
I've tried several different brands and types of mic for podcasting, but these are by far the best quality. You'll need to crank up your gain, but they don't pick up ambient noise more than a few inches from the mic.Perfect for studio quality sound in an environment with lots of noise. Would recommend.

Sound is impeccable
Love the quality of the sound and ability to block out background sounds - it is a bit top heavy, base could stand to be a little heavier . But overall quality is amazing

Built like a tank
Disclaimer, I'm not an audio expert. The podcast microphone is a dynamic microphone that needs good preamps to provide a strong enough audio signal to be usable. The Tascam HR 2x2 audio interface almost is able to drive it, but the audio signal is to low to work with. You provide signal gain in your digital audio workspace (DAW), Audacity in my case. When the signal is too low you amplify the signal in your DAW it also increase the background noise as well. So the trick is to have an original input signal strong enough to avoid over amplification in the DAW. I originally tried the "Cloudlifter" unfortunately it introduced additional noise into the audio signal. So, I ran my Rod Podcast microphone into a Peavey Mixer, and then connected that to my Tascam HR2x2 computer interface. The Peavey preamps are really quiet without the introduction of additional noise into the signal. That did the trick, now the podcast microphone is usable and producing great sounding audio! I wish the microphones would give suggestions as to what is a good preamp match for vocal, music and such.

Podcasting on a Budget
I personally got this assuming that a Rodecaster only works with this mic- the sound is good but for asmr or more quite podcasting - I’d go with a higher end but it is a good counterpart to the rodecaster
