Q: Will this work for installing around bathroom ceiling when instaling new pvc planks?

Yes it will. It worked great on my tub. Not so well around the toilet because it buckles.

Q: How about the adhesiveness of the tape?

Good adhesive. But don't recommend use it on uneven or dirty surfaces. Pressed hard during installation to make it fit surface. Also, you will get better results if you pre heat it use a hair dryer and with the help of Caulk Finisher. Yes, you can trim to any length you need. Very good product. Go slow and apply in a straight line.

Q: Is it need a tool to install?

Need to see where are you want to install. Such as, free-install in flat surface; But, we are recommand use caulk finisher forces caulk tape into corner if you want to install it at a right angle.
