Good product and service
The order, a one gallon, two pack epoxy based boat paint arrived quickly and was in much better condition than some previous orders I have places. Good communication and no problems at all. This is a very thick paint and has to be applied by sticking to the instructions.

Sailboat Rigger Recommended
We had our pontoon boat out of the water to refurbish it. I sent photos of our electric motor shaft to my nephew who is a sailboat rigger for advice. It was looking corroded. He recommended cleaning the corrosion off and buying this particular product for protection. It is like a thick paint and was super easy to apply. For sure it will give our motor years more of service. Worth the cost.

Buy this now
1000% reccomend this. I bought this as a precaution to help stop any leaks that nay or may not happen. It popped up when I google waterproof barrier undercoat for a boat. This product is not rated to be waterproof I later found out but once I applied it I felt super happy it went on perfectly to my aluminum 16foot boat. I do reccomend getting a top coat for once it drys. Use inside as well if you can

Good product, great customer service!
I am painting an old outboard and wanted to seal it with primer. You have to mix this epoxy primer precisely (3:1) so I bought a cheap little food scale to weigh it with. Turns out it's 3:1 by volume, but 5.6:1 by weight, so imagine my shock when I discovered I had 1/3 of a can of base remaining, but no more activator! I called Total boat, and Jamestown Distributors, who make the product and explained the instructions on their website says weighing is the most precise way to measure, but you have to really hunt to find the differing ratio instructions, and now I have an unfinished project. They agreed, it's confusing, and they're sending me a replacement! I can't say enough great things about their customer service. I'll be buying all my marine paints and primers from Total Boat.

Pretty good but does scratch off
Month after painting, the keel has lost some paint, so not complete armor. But in general its a tough paint. It's the Gray color in pics. Same brand "Topside" was used for Navy.

Happy Boater
My pontoon was having corrosion problems. I found this product online used it on the pontoons was a little skeptical if 1 gallon would be enough, but I had enough to do two coats love the product. Very easy to use caution even outside. Vapors are very strong. Probably need a mask.

Does not work
This was a waste of time and money. It did not work for me. If you are I the Midwest, on any artificial lake, this won't work. I purchased the primer and the paint. Followed instructions to the t. Turns out, I just added 40lbs of weight and wanted close to $400. First photo is what it looked like after 5.months on the water. The last two are after I applied the same brand primer and two coats of this paint.
