MONDAY

I can see this movie being controversial. The plot line is leaning towards abstract concept. It is hard to adapt the movie pace on its timing for these two main characters. The movie did not take the time to saturate audiences with self-explanatory characters. It involves decent amount of guessing as the movie goes on. However, the movie left many clues that were embedded into characters’s emotions. Both actors are incredible with their film performance. I believe the movie itself has deeper meaning than it might appears first sight. It takes more than one time watching to fully understand the whole story in my opinion. The movie is realistic romance from a secular stand point. It involves with drugs, foul words and sex. Exactly like how the real secular world couple would handle a romantic relationship. It portrays the rawness from a one night stand fall-in love couple situation. The living in the moment kind of spirit is matching correctly with some European trace not so much of typical American daily realistic relationship, however, there's exceptions. Overall, I found the movie quite enjoyable after watching the second time. I hope this helps before you watch the film. I don't recommend watching this on your first date, family setting or any immature teenager/young adults setting. I think the characters are speaking louder for a deeper drive than the possible eye catching sex scenes segments from the film. In another word, those segments are part of life but certainly not the highlight of the art.

I will admit, I am a HUGE Sebastian Stan fan. Originally he was the only reason that I wanted to watch this movie, but, this movie is so well done. After reading some of the reviews I noticed that a lot of people were complaining about it being boring or lacking a plot. I totally disagree. This film portrays the reality of relationships and the ups and downs that come with them. The two main characters, Mickey and Chloe, are two people who struggle with different things in life and are trying to figure out how to deal with them. When they come together they are just two broken people trying to work those things out. The movie is "simple," yes, but within the simplicity lies unspoken heartbreak, trials and tribulations that the film addresses. To say this movie lacks a plot is incorrect. In order to understand the plot, you must understand that this is a more realistic movie. Most people are used to Sebastian in the Marvel movies and the action that comes with them. I do really enjoy this movie a lot. I do, however, think that more work could have been done with the female lead. Although it was a great acting performance, I feel that the character was a little boring and predictable. Overall great movie. 100% in love with Sebastian.

Sebastian Stan was magnificent in this movie. He carried it well. I loved him in Endings, Beginnings and now he killed it again with Monday. I love that he takes daring material and makes it his. He is a true artists. He's not afraid to tackle complex roles and push to the limits. You are my new hero. Please continue to do wonderful work. You have a fan in me. The movie was superb because of you. The Director did a wonderful job directing the actors and bringing the story to life. If there is a Dvd to this movie, I'll sure be ordering my copy. Highly recommend this film because of Sebastian. I followed his movies and all i can say is that he really brings it. He does really great work. Congrats to the team as well. The cinematography, the locations everything was wonderful. I wish there was more nudity and sexual situations pushing boundaries, but what I say was very enjoyable as it is. I'm looking forward to more great work from Sebastian. This guy is bonified movie star material. I could not take my eyes off him.

Kind of chaotic, but worth the watch.

Monday is a film you watch for one reason: Sebastian Stan. He's a gifted actor who often outshines his source material. This is a case where on paper the film feels like fun and I can see why he would do this piece; however, the reality is that the female character is written poorly and lacks credibility to be an actual attorney. There are some interesting scenes, but the story is not threaded together well and the characters ultimately become so annoying that you wish one would just leave and never return. One scene with a couch is an endurance marathon as people are acting ridiculous and the final result is pathetic. Still, I love Stan and he's so handsome that as long as he's smiling, the film works!

I loved this movie. Sebastian Stan and Denise Gough were amazing and they really made me fall in love with their characters and truly care for them. Their relationship took me on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Sometimes they were sweet and loving, and it reminded me of the good times in past relationships. Other times their relationship felt toxic and lonely (like despite the fact that they were together, they were still very much alone) and made me want to scream at them as if they were my friends.This is not a rom-com and its not trying to be, it is just a raw and realistic depiction of a relationship. It doesn't try to sugar coat the consequences of their actions and the repercussions that they have on the relationship, and I really appreciated that. I liked seeing the good and the bad because its real and human.I also want to give a shout out to the character of Argyris (played by Yorgos Pirpassopoulos) because he made me laugh so much throughout this film, and to the director/writer himself (Argyris Papadimitropoulos) because this movie was amazing. Highly recommend!

I bought this film on DVD mainly due to the fact I couldn’t find it available to watch on Amazon Prime other than purchasing it to watch on there, so I thought if I have to pay to watch it I’d rather have the hard copy to keep. (It makes sense to me! lol) - If you are fan of Sebastian Stan (like me) then it’s worth the watch. :)
