What it does, it does very well
I've been using the VK for 6 months in performance and rehearsal. The VK will (primarily) "listen" to midi events from your keyboard and intuitively generate believable real-time harmonies, adding them to your live vocal performance. That's a pretty cool trick for a couple hundred dollars. One vocalist can fill out a bands' entire vocal sound, or in a solo gig you can add sibling harmonies at the touch of a button. The reverbs are lush and the "tone" button does what you hope it will, which may be worth the price of the unit right there. The pitch correction is well-mannered and not glitchy. Really, the little wedge is a big achievement and does other things you may or may not need. There's no XLR out, just TRS, but that's not a huge deal. The REAL limitation involves not being able to isolate harmonies from the primary vocal - you can't change those levels in your vocal mix. It's all or nothing. If that's a deal-breaker for you, this isn't your harmonizer. (Having said that, routing options are apparently available via USB and a DAW and some users might be comfortable adding that much complexity to a live setting.) My sense is that currently you need to spend much more money to get the effect the VK provides AND isolate the various outputs. Ultimately, the VK is sturdy, simple and the price point is amazing. What it does, it does well and that absolutely deserves 5 stars.

As good as it gets for a vocal processor!
I received this last week Tuesday and used it for a gig on Thursday. Pretty quick from package to gig, but for the most part, it was effective and the band loved it. We have no harmony singers in a 10 piece jam band so this seems to be a great tool for us as out of 13 songs in our weekly set, I sing 2-4 every week, and I am not a singer. But, this makes it fun you should have seen the guys heads turn when I kicked in the harmony the first time. Now I have had it for better than a week and pretty much have it mastered and it will be a real asset. As noted in other reviews, the instructions are scant. You get a quick start guide (and you can go through it pretty quick), and there is a downloadable manual from the TC Helicon. I feel those instructions are better but lacking in detail. I found more help with the product from YouTube videos. The user forum at TC answers questions real quick and they answered mine only an hour later.I have been reluctant to do solo gigs but I plan on hitting the Senior Citizen happy hour circuit and looking forward to it.TC insists you download the software update right away. You go on their site to get the app. Be sure to download the app AND the driver for PC. Mac needs the app only. Without the driver on the PC it won't connect to update. I found the app on their site but the driver was in a different place. Once I installed the driver the update loaded and then you can do the mobile beaming too. This is a solid bit of technology you should be happy with. Our June 29 gig is available on the web site below. You can catch some of the harmony there.kerrvillejamband.com

Doesn’t worth the investment, unfortunately.
This gear is very well builded, with excellent quality of sound. But it’s app, which one is used for adjustments on its parameter does not appears on AppStore. Another issue is about lacking of midi implementation parameters and its pdf descriptions.

Buggy, Cumbersome, and Limited waste of money
Although the harmonizer sounds good, the midi settings are too limited and there is some pretty serious latency on the harmonies that make it impractical for live looping, especially when singing something staccatto and/or fast. The added presets on the app are pretty limited, and the auxillary effects sound really crappy. Also disappointed to see that there is no scale function. If not using the full midi preset on the harmonizer and just getting the harmonies from the line in, the harmonies are even worse at keeping up with chord changes and frequently sound dissonant and put of tune. Furthermore if you accidentally press the "set"button while sending midi into the VK, all of the harmonies jump to the highest octaves, and make a high pitched squealing sound. Even if you move the midi notes down 3 octaves the harmonies stay at that pitch. The only way to fix this is to do a full factory reset. The automatic limiting/as function plus anti-feedback setting do produce a nice clean sound, but I've basically just been using the VK as a simple vocal preamp with light reverb to lower the CPU load on my DAW. Super disappointed in this purchase, and a complete waste of money. I recommend Either getting a simple harmonizer pedal and preamp pedal for a fraction of the cost, or get a used voicelive touch 2. Honestly I'd even be hesitant to get one of those after my experience with TC Helicons other inferior products.

Excellent harmonies and effects at a great price
I love the sound of the harmonies. Very real sounding and effects are world class. Pretty easy to understand and works well live or in studio. I highly recommend this product

Replaced "M" for keyboard.
Still getting use to. Like it, but doesn't have all settings that the M did without beaming. That part I don't like and so far haven't been able to download any beamed voices. Simple instructions to do so, but no customer service to help me with it to find out why. Not as easy to use as the "M" when performing, which is my main purpose to using it. Don't need all the other bells and whistles. Also, the multi voice settings response like vocoder, so must play chord to have harmony. Still on the fence about it, but overall, it works OK.

You won't be sorry.
The best investment in music gear ever. I'm really happy with my purchase. This is quality at its finest. Thank you TC Helicon!.P.S. move the headphone jack to the back. I broke my 1/8 trs headphone jack by bumping into it.
