*Update: I am deducting 1 star from my initial 4-star rating until I understand the inside workings of this product. I took mine down from where they were hanging outside on my patio and placed them under a light in the house for approximately 4 hours. I turned off the lights, and yes, they do light up, but very weakly. I'll try charging them for a full day under light indoors next. The concept is good. It could just be the solar panels are too small to absorb enough light to keep them shining as well as they do on batteries.Also buyers, I paid $15.99 for this on March 19. Today it's seven days later, March 26, and the price has already jumped up $1. Just keep in mind that the hummingbirds are all plastic, a battery lasts for 2, possibly 3 nights worth of glow._________Well, I had wanted a pretty, simple glass wind chime to hear the soft tinkling of glass in the breeze. I searched for "glass", "wind chime" and my search brought me to this product. I shouldn't subtract a point because I didn't read the product description carefully enough, so I'll leave it at 4 stars. They got me. It does say glass and plastic. Where is the glass? I see none. Somehow the soft clunking of plastic pieces against each other isn't the pleasant sound I was looking for. On the plus side, the plastic hummingbirds are very cute and they light up beautifully as advertised. I will keep the set as a nice hanging decoration, but I'll search for wind chimes in person so I can make sure they're made of glass.

It's purdy! :) My wife likes it... I like it. It won't stay lit throughout the whole night, but you will get a couple of hours (maybe a little more) of enjoyment before it dims out for the evening. For the price point, this is a decent little item. It looks pretty in the yard around the flowers. As a wind chime it's not really adequate to call it that in my opinion, because it's just plastic, so if you find the sound of cheap plastic toys clicking together in the wind soothing, then this might right up your ally. ;) We didn't get it for the wind chime effect. We just like the appearance of the color-changing birds... Just wanted to give a heads up to those expecting wind chime functionality.

This is a beautiful addition to my porch. It's hanging on the exterior and gets plenty of sun. So pretty and wind chime is a soft and delicate sound and in the evenings the brilliant colors changing are lovely.

Had one for two years before failure. Two of the lights went out at the same time It appears the adhesive holding the bird to the wire is time or UV degradable.I love hummingbirds and enjoyed the first one and now have received the new one. I am going to add a silicon layer at the wire to bird connection. The recharge system works fine and the recharge is long lasting. With a bright sunshine charge the LED’s stay on till the next morning light.
