Delicious pasta from Italy
Love the texture and taste. I made a vegetarian minestrone and this pasta was perfect. No starch!

Definitely different but definitely excellent
I’ve had fregola at Italian friend’s houses, but I couldn’t find the real rustic variety that I favored. This brand doesn’t look like the others, as it’s rougher and not evenly colored. It is also much more textured. It’s awesome in soups and with tomatoes and Parmesan. This brand is the closest to what I’ve eaten in Italy. I keep a package on hand for when I don’t want to cook anything elaborate but I want a comforting meal that is special.

Good
Tastes good, chewy even when well cooked.

Fregola by Amazon - who would have thought?
New recipe required fregola. Not available at Market Basket, Stop & Shop, Whole Foods, Shaw's or anywhere else I tried looking. Easily found on Amazon. Great pasta. Perfect texture and flavor. Highly recommended. Try it, you'll like it.

Great pasta
I read about this pasta in Bon Apetit magazine and it's as good as promised. Fantastic in soups, especially. The toasted nature of the fregola is superb. It's been compared to Israeli couscous because of its size and shape, but the toasting makes its taste very different. It also has a longer cooking time (14-17 minutes) than you might expect. Well worth it.

Tasty side dish
This pasta has a nice, firm texture and good flavor. I am likely to order it again, and invent some dishes to use it.

The finest pasta made
Rustichella pastas are the absolute best pastas we've ever had. When we lived in Italy for 3 years, we didn't have pasta this good anywhere over there. We didn't know about the Rustichella d'Abruzzo makers of pasta when we were there. I Googled this family of fine pasta makers and was very impressed by their methods. It's thanks to Amazon.com that we can have this exceptional treat now.

Rich, Nutty Flavor
It really has its own flavor notes without antagonizing with any rich sauce. It’s lightly roasted, resembles couscous but bigger. High in calories but since fregola is pure durum wheat semolina, sticking to small portions is not difficult. This pasta can be great for risotto, instead of carnaroli.
