Faster than SATA ssd's, very easy to install, not just cheap price
Have 3 of these...Dell bios shows as M.2 , legacy mode works fine (I am sure UEFI will as well), just initialize the drive first, I used a Macrium backup on all installs, I DO NOT CLONE for obvious hardware reasons---sometimes you will get a "boot device not found or words to that effect---just follow usual BCD repair instructions (using a Win10Pro install usb or repair disk), change boot attributes if needed, rename bcd/boot as old if needed and there you go. Half the time this is not even an issue, if it is, it's a 3 minute fix. There's no reason to do a fesh install unless you want to. ADATA has some grrreat software on their website btw...

Mind blowing
I can't believe the quality for the price on this bad boy. 26 bucks, are you freaking kidding me? Replaced the terrible 5400 rpm HDD in my wife's Acer Aspire E5-575. Put the HDD back in as backup storage. She's certainly not tech savvy, and even though I noticed that she went from 1-2 minute boot times with almost constant 100% disk usage, to 3 second boot (completely serious, it is always consistently about 3 seconds) and hardly any disk usage, she has no idea. However, the battery life skyrocketed and lasts almost 2 hours extra, which she did notice, and was very grateful for. I'm just happy to watch her click Microsoft Word and it actually loads in less then 45 seconds. I'm actually annoyed it boots quicker and is snappier than my $900 dell with stock NVMe M.2.

Huge improvement over my laptop's HDD
I bought a new Asus Q524UQ laptop and was really struggling with how slow the included 2 TB 5400 RPM hard drive was. The computer took forever to start up and seemed particularly awful when it was attempting to install updates. I was glad to see there was an open M.2 slot in the computer and, as I'm sure many people viewing this item have, found that this was one of the cheapest options available. I decided to take a shot with it and am very pleased with the results. The installation of the drive could not be easier. The most difficult part really was remembering where I left the screwdriver I needed to open up my laptop, though that was more the fault of Asus for using a weird screw and me for not being very organized. Once I had it popped open installation of the drive took about 10 seconds. It pops right in the slot and then you have to screw it down. The one thing to keep in mind is that you will need to have your own screw. The drive doesn't come with one and in my case the laptop didn't have one preinstalled either. Fortunately I had one, but if you don't you will need to acquire it. I believe it's an M2x3mm screw. From there the slightly tricky part was moving the OS from the original HDD to the newly installed drive. There are actually two methods I used and both worked without much issue. The first option I tried was simply cloning the drive using Macrium Reflect software. The process was fairly easy and since it was a brand new laptop I just copied everything on the hard drive over, went into the BIOS, and changed the boot order. The difference was night and day. Booting from this drive took mere seconds compared to the rather lengthy process with the original drive. Although the clone option was easy, I ended up using a flash drive to do a complete reinstall of Windows 10. The main reason I switched to this was because the laptop came running an older version of the OS and it was easier to start fresh with the newest version one time than to keep going through the update process. This also wiped out all of the Asus preinstalled software that I didn't really want. If you have a computer you've been using and don't want to lose anything I'd recommend the clone option. For a newer laptop or just one that's full of bloat that you don't care about losing it's probably easier to start fresh with the flash drive installation.

3yr warranty, 3yr 6 month lifespan, ran perfect everyday though
Yesterday while taking a backup of the data on my Adata 512GB M.2 SSD, I got CRC check failures during validation and the backup failed and wiped most of the data it did copy as it was unable to verify the CRC on most of it. I tried a directory listing and got IO read errors, so I gave my machine a reboot and it came backup but this drive was not mounted. it did not show up in a disk listing, but the system logs showed it failed to get the expected response when querying the drive. I tried many tools in linux (fdisk, parted, smartctl, lshw, and a couple of others suggested online) and they all reported no device found, IO error, or just didn't list it, although the logs (dmesg) showed multiple IO errors and lsblk showed it was assigned /dev/sda. After a few tries with parted I was able to ignore the errors enough times that it reported creating a partition; however, after exiting, mkfs reported the partition size to be zero and parted could no longer even select the disk. We had a long run of constant action, low usage (estimated approx 6TB-8TB of write data (over 3.5 years) and a possibly 20TB+ of read, based on the stats of another m.2 installed on the same day and the data I was using was split between them, so using about 75% of the stats from the other drive as my estimated usage). I was using the disk as a "mounted" data partition for multiple docker images, the containers were not stored on this drive, only the data directories for them. I went with this SSD M.2 as I was hoping it would last longer than an NVME M.2 and was about half the price too. I do want to note I stopped using the drive 100% about 50 days ago (deleting most the data from it at the time) and yesterday was the first time I tried using it to store any data, although it didn't get that far as the drive kicked it while running an extra backup before making changes, so it was read only (besides any caching rsync may have done during replication). The drive gave good performance the entire time I used it, never an issue or hiccup until yesterday. Well worth the price, and I am glad I ran backups every 4 hours for part of its life and every 12 hours the last year. I would be willing to buy another, although at this time I am going to run without a replacement, as my performance needs are much lower that I do not need to split the data across a pair of M.2 drives.

A great M.2 option for great speeds and affordable price
I bought this for a 2 in 1 laptop I purchased, works great. I did a clean install of Windows 10 and the laptop boots up to desktop in about 8 seconds. Speeds seem consistent and fast. No lagginess that you would see with a HD. The price on this seems to be consistently cheap so it is definitely a good option if your PC/Laptop has a M.2 slot.

Great No-frills Budget Drive!
This was my first M.2 drive, so i wasn't sure what to expect. I was buying totally based on price for a budget mining build. I am not disappointed at all, in fact i'm very satisfied with my purchase! It's a no-frills item.. no instructions included.. just a box with a stick in it. I plugged it in, screwed it down, and it worked without issue! As i've only had it for a couple weeks I cannot speak to it's longevity, but for my purposes once it's setup writes should be minimal. Build quality seems good, it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy. I did download the Adata software (not the migration tools) and used that to optimize the OS for SSD's (i'm using Windows7).. it can also be used for upgrading the firmware and monitoring s.m.a.r.t. status. Overall I am quite happy and would currently recommend this drive to anyone on a budget.

Great for creating a carbon copy of my MacBook Air system drive
I'm using this as a carbon copy of my MacBook Air system drive, since Time Machine isn't good at restoring a failed drive, just your data. So I got the ZTC Thunder Enclosure and this drive to use with Carbon Copy Cloner and it works great. I have it configured to clone every time I connect it. Note: this is only a system back-up for my MacBook HD. This ADATA drive won't fit in the PCIe drive slot of my MacBook, since this is a proprietary format for Apple. Using my ZTC Enclosure and ADATA M.2 SSD is a very cost effective way to keep a bootable back-up in a very portable form factor, should I have a system drive failure versus the prices that other's want for the PCIe external bay & SSD.

Really fast, but my laptop will use it as the boot drive only if the original hard drive is removed
I installed this in my Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM laptop. I already had a copy of Acronis True Image 2018, so I used that to migrate my data. I first tried the clone function of Acronis, but it failed each time. Then I did a full backup of my C: drive to an external drive, shut down the laptop, pulled the original drive and slipped the SSD into its slot (this laptop has the mounting screw already on the motherboard), booted from an Acronis recovery USB stick, and did a recovery to the SSD. Shut it down, turned it back on, and it booted up in 40 seconds, compared to the four minutes and 20 seconds it took with the original drive. The only problem I have is that when I put the old drive back in the laptop it insists on booting from that drive, not the SSD. I set up the BIOS to boot from the SSD first, but the machine ignores that. Research tells me that others have had this problem with this particular laptop, and it probably has to do with the way I migrated the entire contents of the HDD to the SSD. It's not terribly important to me since I don't need the additional storage. I'll just store the original drive away for future use in case the SSD ever fails.

Este SSD lo instale en una Lenovo Y700 y obtuve un buen rendimiento, como era lo esperado, es totalmente compatible fácil de instalar. el tiempo de entrega fue notable me llegó al siguiente día, si tu equipo es compatible con la tecnología de almacenamiento M.2 no lo pienses este producto y este proveedor es tu mejor opción.

Buone prestazioni
Sono soddisfatto, montata in un piccolo Asus Vivomini ho prestazioni in lettura e scrittura molto buone ed equiparabili, sto sui 420 Mb in lettura e 435 in scrittura. Se si montasse in una scheda madre più performante di un Asus Vivomini sicuramente le prestazioni supererebbero i 500 mb. Comprata scontata su Amazon Warehouse Deals, ho fatto un affare.
