I love Unicorn Spit! It colors the wood, but allows the grain to show thru, and is consistent. Works 100% better than colored stains you find at your local home improvement stores.

This stuff is really fun. You can use it as a stain or a paint. You can add water or not, spritz the water or drip it. So many options with this stuff.Also, there are tons of videos on youtube with different techniques.Totally awesome, buy some!

This product was wonderful. Easy to use and exactly as described, but the red is pink or deep deep red, no in between:) am very pleased!

Used this to create a 1970s retro-look sign. I was working with a small piece of raw wood. I diluted the paint with water because I wanted a light coat that would allow the wood grain to show through. I used a paper towel to rub it in. Worked great. Cleaned up easily.

Follow the instructions, and it turns out great. Their website is helpful too.Probably not for an absolute beginner, considering you have to dilute it right, but it's a great product overall.

This is definitely not a stain. I hesitate to call it a paint or a dye, either. I've had zero luck with this stuff. It goes on unevenly, it wipes off when it dries, and it never cures.I've had the best luck diluting it. The warning here is that you only get one coat. I had a little bit of luck diluting the dye and then spreading in multiple thin coats. Once you get to a certain saturation, though, all you do with an extra coat is dissolve the previously applied coat and smear it around.I'm using this primary for wood, as there are some colors that are difficult to find in a stain. This product isn't it. I think the worst part about it is that I went to go pick up a car that I completed a few weeks ago, and my hands came away blue from this stuff wiping off of the car. How is it possible that it can still wipe off like that after weeks?Additionally, the odor makes me nauseas. Some others have viewed that as a positive. To me, it smells like a cheap hair-car product. I can't tell if it's Suave or Alberta VO5.I purchased a few different colors and spent quite a bity of money on them. I anticipate they'll end up in the trash as I replace them with stains, dyes, and paints that actually work. This is, quite literally, the worst such product I have ever used in this category.
