Sturdy and stylish
Pretty sturdy and stylish, a great pick for beginners as it is lightweight and has full value for money.

Nice and heavy beginners racquet
This is the most durable “beginner” racquet I’ve used. This $50 racquet will hold up better than your $70-80 Heads and Wilsons. Solid/indestructible frame and strings even still have a bit of pop after about 2 years of weekly play. Pretty heavy at 190g so you’ll be able to really blast them but not much for finesse. Just upgraded to a Head Hades thats 170g but I’ll always keep the GB-50 in my bag. Best $50 I’ve spent.

Great racket!’
I’m just beginning to become a more serious player and I noticed immediately what a lighter racket like this with a larger sweet spot than my old one can do the help my game. It’s quicker to the ball and just a flick off my wrist gets the ball to the wall.

Awesome first racquet
I've played racquetball before, and am now ramping my son up on the sport. I got him a nice-quality Gearbox a few months ago, and I've been playing with an entry-level Wilson racquet I picked up for a bit less than this one.The GB-50 is clearly superior. I'm not even sure what the materials are (my son's more expensive one has some carbon fiber, while this one may be aluminum) but it feels much stiffer and more "alive" than my other, cheaper one. The default strings that come with it are decent for the price as well. Overall I am hitting crisp, repeatable shots with this racquet and couldn't be happier. It is missing a vibration dampener, so I added one for a few bucks more (Head brand) which seems to work well.

Grip tape coming apart right out of the package
Protectove plastic handle wrap took some of the grip tape off in chunks when I unwrapped it. Looks like dry rot? Maybe stored too hot for too long or something.Raquet is very light, plays OK.Will update if amazon replacement of same item has the same issue or not. (29JUL2023)Got a replacement from amazon, the packaging on the handle did the same thing and tore off some chunks... Won't even be unwrapping this one and will be going with a different brand. Shame such a small thing gets in the way!GearBox should start shipping these with spare grip-tape or something...

Good racket. Packaging damaged handle when removing plastic.
As if the plastic melted to the handle. Sending back for replacement and will update review afterwards. The racket plays great and I suspect it will be great when I receive one that isn't damaged.EDIT: Recieved replacement racquet and it had no issues. This is a great beginner racquet.
