AFA Tooling Hand Riveter Gun + 500-Piece Rivets

rivet gun arrived on time, but by NO means did it work. would put a rivet in and not only would it not expand the rivet correctly but it would leave the stem in the gun and would get stuck. It took me 5 minutes too get it unstuck. Tried different sized rivets and same thing. DO NOT BUY! the only reason it is getting 2 stars is because it arrived on time and i was refunded my money very fast so good customer service.

This thing does not want to release the rivet pin. I've disassembled and reassembled it many times. First go it seems to work, but subsequent ones the pin just keeps getting stuck. Served it's purpose for the small job I had but can't recommend it for any kind of significant work.

Don't be sucked in by the low price. A Chinese piece of junk. I bought this because I only have an occasional need. It only worked one time before it got jammed up. I had to dissembled it to get the cut off piece of the pop rivet out. Next go round the same thing happened. Save your money and buy a good one. Interior parts are forged steel. The only good part about this is the aluminum pop rivets.

Love the free rivets, but this tool does not work reliably. It struggles to grip rivet stem EVERY TIME! A rivet should take 10s tops to fasten..this tool results in a several minute process and great struggle.

I’ve had inexpensive rivet tools like this before so I knew what I was getting into. I read a lot of reviews that had trouble with getting the shanks out and mine works perfectly. UPDATE: second time using it the tool fell apart. The mechanism that grips the shank fell out and the tool is now useless. I now agree with others that this is a bad design/manufacturing flaw.

For a cheaper tool and option im well satisfied, came with so many rivets, worked great within minutes off receiving I used it to attach the Bellcrank to my Jeeps hood.

For the price it works to expected. My complaint about the product is that after riveting the rod that breaks off doesn't always discharge when you flip it over. So after a few rivets in you have to smack it around or tap it to get it to fall out. This is annoying, at one point it jammed up pretty good even though I removed the "last rivet", and I had to disassemble it to clear it out. Again annoying.For the price it works as expected.

If it's not something you need all the time it will work. The tool itself isn't very comfortable in your hand but it does work fine. Plenty of rivets come with it probably more than you'll ever use.For the price i would definitely buy it but dont expect something amazing
