Carpenter had problems installing. Key gets stuck and can't be removed after unlocking

Schlage and Yale have been my go-to lock makers for years. I couldn't settle for anything less. Clean lines, unobtrusive appearance and a solid mechanism — even looks good on my well-worn front door.While it was somewhat difficult to install, it was well worth the extra care to do it right. While no deadbolt is a true deterrent, it will discourage a would-be intruder long enough to give me extra peace of mind.

I thought it would look good with my Shlage Door lever. It's not a good match! It has a lower profile.

My preference is Schlage, and this is the third house where I’m installing them throughout. I like the deadbolts keyed alike, and this is reasonably easy to do yourself. So I ordered four of the matte black, intending to rekey them. They arrived in a white outer sleeve with the four individual non-retail cardboard boxes inside, and I was thrilled to see that the were all the same code, saving me having to do any rekeying. Possibly just a combination of dumb luck and ordering exactly how many fit in the outer package, but this absolutely made my day.

Excellent lock. Schlage quality workmanship and security all the way. Unfortunately I need a deadbolt latch with a 2" backset for the particular door I purchased this for. Such a latch - at least from or compatible with Schlage - is impossible to find. Keeping the lock and will continue to scour the world for that 2" backset latch.

Works great and love the matte black color.
