Very well made and even sustained being driven over by a pickup truck, though I don't recommend it !

I bought this as a replacement for a lost tool. The telescoping clip works like a champ to light my furnace pilot light. The clip is tight holding a cotton ball without fear of dropping it into the furnace. I recommend this to anyone who struggles with this task!

I used this tool to help with a crack repair on the side of my guitar. Gluing and clamping the crack was easy enough, but I needed a way to place little diamond-shaped wooden cleats on the inside of the guitar to strengthen the wood along the crack. Unfortunately, the crack was close to the back, far from the sound hole, and I couldn't get my hand back there to place the cleats. I put a light inside the guitar, and then put my phone inside and mirrored the screen to my computer. With my camera app I could see where to place the cleats. I just needed a way to put them in place. I put a tab of tape onto the little wooden cleat, which allowed me to hold onto it with the alligator clip. Then I added the glue to one face of the cleat, and using the telescoping clip, I put the cleat through the sound hole and placed it on the far end of the guitar. I held it in place for a minute, and then gently twisted the clip back and forth until the tape released. It worked like a charm. I placed about a dozen cleats along that crack line. Without this tool it wouldn't have been possible for me to complete the repair. It's an excellent tool.

Works perfect. Clips can be fragile, stiff to pull out. Other than that I'd order them again.

So far I use these to light candles when my re-chargable lighter is out of juice and the wick is too far to light while holding the match in my hand. The alligator clip holds the match well. I'm sure they will be a handy tool for other things as well, I just haven't had to use them for something else yet.
