Great deal excellent quality.
I bought these specifically for applying chalk to my terrier for dog shows. I love that there are two brushes so I could use one for black and the other for tan. Love that each come boxed for safe keeping. Will recommend to friends and think these will last many years.

Does a great job
These brushes are well made and do an excellent job buffing my shoes when I polish them and also in between polishing. The bristles are full and soft. Unlike some lower quality brushes, the bristles don’t fall out. A very good buy.

One brush was 5 star, the other 2 star...
The black (bristle and handle, not brown as advertised) brush is shedding heavily and has not stopped... if it doesn't stabilize soon, it will be returned. The natural wood finished brush is excellent in all aspects.

old-style shoe brushes of the sort that one can hardly find any more; good quality

Looks nice but sheds a lot of bristles, repeatedly
Nice looking brushes (I bough both colors) that seems to work well, but they really do shed a lot of bristles. The black-bristled brush got more stable after first dozen uses and is passable, but grey-bristled brush keeps loosing bristles by a dozen. Looking at its sideways is a horror show (you can always see at least couple dozen bristles sticking out 1/4 inch from the overall surface, ready to fall out). I am tired of repeatedly plucking it like a chicken. Apparently their quality level can vary quite a bit.

Great, solid, well-made horse-hair brushes
I've used these brushes now on all 20 pair of my dress shoes, some of which were simple re-polishes, while others were complete finish restorations from acetone, to re-dying or re-pigmenting with Saphir products, and then re-polishing. In other words, I've put them through their paces and aside from a tiny bit of hair loss on the first couple of brushings, they've proven themselves well from my perspective. I use the darker wood brush from dirt removal or other harsher purposes and the lighter one for finish work but I only do this as a matter of procedural consistency, as to not introduce debris into final passes. Dark = dirt and light = clean; it's just simple, easy to remember logic for me but either brush obviously could be used in whatever manner you prefer. So with that, I'll just end by saying that I expect these to last many years based on how well they've held up thus far. Great product, fair price, and arrived quickly. Thanks!
