Crystal-Clear Comms on the Move! The Cardo Freecom 4X has completely transformed my riding experience. From the moment I clipped it onto my helmet, the build quality and sleek design stood out—compact but powerful. The sound clarity is incredible, even at high speeds or in noisy traffic. Whether chatting with a fellow rider or syncing it up with my phone for calls and music, everything works seamlessly. Voice commands are super responsive, and the Bluetooth connectivity is rock solid. I love that I can connect with up to four riders—makes group rides way more fun and organized. The battery life also deserves a shoutout: hours of use without a hiccup. If you're serious about riding and want top-tier communication and audio while on the road, this is the device to grab. Can’t recommend it enough!

Amazing product which helps communicate with your other riders. Built in Bluetooth for hands free calls and audio. Voice commands and a great battery. Has volume controls on the side, easy pairing, its a small device so it doesn't look horrendous on your helmet and its pretty good for the money.

I love my new cardo definitely worth the price, it attached to my helmet with ease and hasn’t budged since. It connects straight away with no problems, the ear pieces are JBl and actually have really good sound from them, this was one thing I was worried about with wind noise etc but they are brilliant. The voice command function is also very handy.

Good item,not fully tested on the road yet,good sound from Jbl speakers. Voice recognition is very frustrating,works outside helmet fine,when fitted doesn’t really work for me which is a bit disappointing,would be good if you could say phrases to find your voice.(similar to a phones set up). Unless it’s more set up for American speakers rather than Scottish. Apart from that everything all good.

Great little device can listen to music or chat to friends whilst on the move. Every bikers should get one.

PROS: 1) WATERPROOF 2) EASY TO INSTALL 3) RELATIVELY EASY TO USE (TIME WITH THE MANUAL REQUIRED) 4) CLEAR SPEECH 5) EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY FROM THE JBL SPEAKERS CONS: 1) THE VOICE RECOGNITION IS VERY, VERY POOR. 2) VR ACTIVATES THE RADIO COMPLETELY RANDOMLY 3) ONCE RADIO VR ACTIVATED CAN’T GET BACK TO MUSIC 4) BATTERY LIFE ISN’T 8 HOURS, APPROXIMATELY 6 HOURS 5) RADIO RECEPTION IS MOSTLY CR@P I paid extra for this due to the thought that voice recognition (VR) was a great safety feature. I recently treated myself to one of the new BMW R 1250 RTs …the one with all the electronic gizmos on it. I haven’t owned a bike for 9 years and so my last bike had what was then, the gold standard in comms, the Autocom system. Gone are the wires which you always forgot to disconnect when getting off the bike! I was tempted by Sena, but heard awful stories. So I bought this Cardo Freecom 4X. It was a BIG mistake. The sound quality is excellent, the microphone picks up my voice brilliantly in calls, but for some unknown reason, the VR activates the radio, quite randomly. The RT has the BMW Connected app, which has had its issues resolved. Unfortunately, even deleting the Cardo app doesn’t stop its ridiculous VR starting up the radio. The battery life is closer to 6 hours, and yes, I always charge my devices before first use! My recommendation is to buy the 2X, which doesn’t have the VR. The 2X has the JBL speakers and is around £30-£40 cheaper. It will not turn the radio on and cause you to have to stop every ten minutes to reset everything so you can listen to music.

So far the Cardo Freecom 4X sounds great and was relatively easy to install (with guidance from a YouTube video). It arrived two days early, which is nice, but also no notice of this. Honestly as a first time Amazon purchaser.. And from another country too, I was just glad it was an actual cardo in the box. Have yet to try the “Hey Cardo” feature, but I’m hopeful as everything else seems to be in order.

Diese Cardo Freecom 4x ist endlich mal ein Gerät, welches perfekt in meinen LS2 Advant X Helm passt. Bestellung und Versand gewohnt einwandfrei von Amazon. Montage war, wenn man es zum ersten Mal macht nicht einfach aber auch für Laien nach einer gewissen Zeit (gute 30min) erledigt. Wie gesagt es passt sehr gut. Nichts drückt an den Ohren, der Klang ist JBL- Typisch exzellent. Das Micro und generell die Verständigung habe ich und realen Fahrbedingungen noch nicht getestet. Aber genau für diesen Zweck wurde das Gerät entwickelt, also wird das auch passen. Sollte ich von der Verständigung enttäuscht sein, werde ich meine Rezension ergänzen. Die Verbindung zum Handy via Bluetooth funktionierte auf Anhieb. Die Verbindung zum Navi parallel geht wohl nicht. Aber wenn das Navi an ist, ist dieses mit dem Handy und mit dem Cardo- Headset verbunden. Passt also! Wie und ob das Cardo- Freecom 4X nach einem ordentlichen Regenguss noch funktioniert, vermag ich auch noch nicht zu sagen. Aber auch in diesem Punkt kann ich meine Bewertung ja auch noch ergänzen. Zur Zeit würde ich eine klare Kaufempfehlung aussprechen weil die Montage, der Komfort, der Klang und die Bedienung einfach sehr gut passen.
