They're chopped sea clams in juice. I only use these clams in a quick white clam sauce (garlic, white wine, parsley) over pasta. They do need to be cooked as in heated up in a pan with butter/olive oil, but I guess you could use them in other ways. I used to use canned baby clams for this dish, but most of them come from Southeast Asia from questionable water. These clams come from clean waters in Maine. **Q: Are these dry clams? Or ‘wet’, as in, have they been soaked in sodium tripolyphosphate?** A: They are packed in something wet. But whether dry or wet, do NOT order this product. Unless you enjoy chewing rubber bands.
